does anyone own this deck? the niece of my best friend has this deck and when she showed it to me, i thought it was too "cute" for me. my friend's niece doesn't read with it because she's only 7 yrs. old. i doubt that this deck is readable but it would be nice as an art deck. if someone can come up with a sailormoon deck or "lord of the rings" deck, why can't anyone comeup with an "x-men" deck?? (huge fan of the cartoon series, but not the movie)
I'm with you; I'd like to see a good superhero deck. A knowledgeable Tarot-ist collaborating with some Marvel artists would result in a wonderful deck, I think. It's a marketing and copyright question mostly...
I'd also like to see a deck done with photographs of action figures, but until that happens, you could check this out:

I own two Sailormoon tarot decks. Neither of them are useful for reading. Essentially it looks like the artist chose pictures that they liked and assigned them at random.
I know this thread is old. Thought I'd add my two cents in.
I only knew about one that wasn't available (it was on the internet). *Sigh* And I am a fan (I admit I like more the manga because it is more mature even if there is some compressed part).
There are two available. They can both be seen at tarotgarden. I have one but the nicer one is the German one, likely the one you saw on the Internet. This one, right?

annik,
I found them both on Ebay. The 78 card deck has manga images and up through Stars, but no Starlights. The 22 card deck only has through anime R.
I'm a fan also, but I'm disappointed at the image associations. I agree with Marion, the German one is much better.
I saw the unpublished one just now. Very pretty. Wish it were published.
I'm a fan also. There's a spectacular book, "Warriors of Legend" which is about Sailormoon's correlation with Japanese culture. ;-)

There was a Marvel deck. According to Tarot Garden it came out in 1995.
Here are some of the cards as seen on the tarot garden site. I had to shrink teh picture down to 40% to get it to fit the forum parameters but if you search "marvel" on tarot garden you'll find it.

There is a Marvel deck on eBay at the moment.

That's reeeeeeeally cheap for a very popular out of print deck.
edited to add: Wow, it went for that low. Did the people asking about Marvel decks earlier in the thread just not want it?
No, the one I saw wasn<t on tarot garden. It was on a website that had gone {under construction}. I think I saw first about it from here while browsing.
But the ones from Tarot Garden are fine too. And from what I saw, I must agree that the one from Germany is looking good.
i have the marvel deck - tarocchi marvel - published by lo scarabeo in 1995. i seem to remember having to order it internationally, over the internet. i've had it for several years. i don't remember what i paid for it.
it's a 22 card, majors only deck. the cards themselves are rather large at approximately 2-7/8" x 5-3/8", and the card stock is somewhat flimsy. the corners are square, and the card edge appears to be untreated. i never used the cards for reading - i'm even afraid to shuffle them in fear of them getting bent or ruined completely.
the artwork is rendered in the traditional marvel style, a la stan lee-ish, and fairly well done. i like the choices of charactors for each of the majors - clearly, some thought was employed in the choices. all of the cards depict a charactor (or two) as most of the image, in a relevant pose according to the card meaning.
i only wish that it was a full 78 card deck, and that the card stock was a more traditional size and of better durability. and of course, that my favorite charactor, rogue, was somewhere in the deck. i could see her as the three of swords, because she can never touch another human without devastating effects - truely a heart-breaking situation.
I saw a few picture of that one. It looked good. And I thought too that the relations characters and cards were good. Too bad the card stock isn't that good!

A full Marvel deck would be nice.....
I would play with the suits as different teams....
The Fantastic Four- Cups
The X-Men- Swords
The Avengers- Wands
The Inhumans- Coins
Then put some of their Iconic teamless characters as the Major Arcana- Spiderman- The Fool, Dr. Strange- The Magician, etc.

Hmm.... what about a DC Comics Tarot?
Hmm.... what about a DC Comics Tarot?
If it made Batman and Catwoman the Lovers I would buy it.
