Hey Guys .... got a dead male. :D

Wanna play?

draw cards to figure out who he is .... Everyone is welcome. :heart:using the golden tarot. and, thanks for the game here, franniee!

dead guy:

the fool rx, temperance rx, knight of wands
this guy has gone down this road before of being unbalanced, so I'm going to say the unbalanced parts have to do with drugs and alcohol. a constant battle for him when he was alive. is that what he died from? he's impulsive too. can't sit still--prob. as a result of the drugs.

king of coins, judgement, 5 swords
this guy was at the head of his career--he was a KING! (not in the literal sense). someone who was revered though by his public. When I first saw the judgement card, in this deck it shows Jesus looking down on all these people who are so enamored by him. I'd say this is his admiring public, so I'm thinking this dead guy of yours was a musician/performer who was widely recognized and admired by others. the 5 of swords seems to indicate that he faced some challenges with all this and ended up walking away-quite irritated I think, and upset. I see him as the guy walking away in this card. Maybe his idolation was replaced by the other fellow in the 5 of swords.

the world rx, moon, death rx
he had all he could want and then suddenly his world was turned upside down and there was much confusion and alot of bad publicity possibly. depression. this helped to mark the end of his career.

I keep thinking of Elvis Presley, but he doesn't sound like an MP you'd pick.

Your welcome....after this reading I will be away for much of the day - be back later tonight. :)

He had a weight problem and that was his constant battle. He had high energy! Couldn't sit still but not due to drugs...

YES!!! Awesome Celt!!! Lots of challenges but he never walked away. Everything else is dead on! for our dead guy

I loved Elvis...used to watch all those movies on TV. Nope not him. This guys world never crashed on him. There was a lot going on around him that influenced him but he never crashed.

OK gotta run... have a great day!

Appearance-Tower Reversed

Hmm...I keep trying to figure out what this could mean in terms of appearance. I'm thinking that perhaps he tore apart what he used to be so he could rebuild himself into something new. Either that or by the end of his life he had destroyed his physical appearance somehow, though I'm thinking it's the former.

Profession-The Hermit

Whatever he did he did it solo. Writer comes to mind, or at the least artist of some sort. That could be the isolation I'm getting. I drew a qualifier and got the Chariot. I think maybe he also did a lot of travel, on his own. So somebody who traveled alone?

The world around him-10 of wands, reversed

Burdens, and quite a few of them. His world was filled with obligations that might have overwhelmed him. Drew a qualifier for this one too, and I got the 8 of swords reversed. That means to me that he felt trapped by these obligations, as if the path to what he really wanted to do in life was blocked by his obligations.

I only have time for a couple of cards for the moment

Ace of Swords~Tower~Justice
ouch, It looks like this guy had an incredible idea, it shows that he was succesful but not without problems, something happened that wasn't expected and caused him legal problems, however I think he was able to get through it ok, I think everything went in his favor, he won so to speak. Justice and the Ace both have signs of victory all over them, the tower is sort of sandwiched in between almost like it's being squeezed out of the spread...OK, wait lol, now I've just noticed a common theme, everything seems to be pointing upward in these cards, the 2 swords in the ace and justice and the tower too, I don't know what that means lol, it could just be me, King of wands/8 of Pents, I don't think this king is him but someone else who might have been at the center of this, (his wand is also pointing up and so are the points on his crown) I get the sense there's something here to do with legal documents, also the 8 wands are pointing down, I think it's just me lol, maybe he had a lot of ups and downs, if there wasn't legal issues than I assume whatever happened with that guy, he was forced to make a decision and do the right thing in regards to him

Sorry that's all I can do for now

Well weight was always troublesome to him but the tower fits with something else that I can't explain right now... it was very much who he was. It was about his appearance or the way he did something. Can't say too much more but know you are warm. :)

Not solo but he was the best at what he did..... he was quite revered.

8 of swords is good but he did break those binds.... he was trapped - not by his obligations but who he was. :D

Good!!

He started down and soared. :) No legal issues but trouble with the times.

I decided to see if the cards could help me with how he died. so, I am using the golden tarot again.

8 wands, lovers, page of coins

I believe that it is possible he either died of a plane crash, or could it be he had to make a choice on some sort of treatment for something that proved to be fatal? I have no idea other then this! however, because even when these 3 cards are added together, it still reduces down to the no. 7 and this is all about traveling and options. so it has something to do with both, i think.

Q: what about his family life?
5 cups, 6 swords, 4 swords rx

the 5 of cups next to the 6 of swords gives me the impression that he had a s.o. but that she left him, and this was something he never quite recovered from. and since these 3 add up to 15--I do believe there was a relationship that had it's problems, and finally his s.o. left him.

okay, let's leave it at this for the time being. all i can think of is that plane crash w/buddy holly--however, the guys killed then don't seem to fit what we already know.

died of a heart attack probably due to the way he ate and took care of himself. ****hint**** died in my life time. ;)

Yes his first wife did leave him and she died shortly after the divorce.

All right, I just pulled three more here. No real intent other than figuring out what he DID and why you said the tower was important (lol!)

I got the Emperor, the Devil, and the Ace of Wands

There was an element of leadership about him. Perhaps he founded something, or set up a new way of thinking. I definitely see what you meant by saying he was the best at this.

The Devil seems to show the excesses you mentioned. He was overindulgent, and this seemed to be a big part of his lifestyle and why some people knew him.

A lot of energy, so despite his problems he was always on the move or working at some new project. Other than that I'm not really sure.

He had a lot of energy! This was his hallmark!! The tower refers to the way he did something.... I can't elaborate. He actually had trouble because he did it this way... it broke down. He had to in the end revise his way a bit... I already said too much.

he was not an actor per se ALTHOUGH he did appear in over a dozen films.
:D

It is not Brando....good choice though.... as I wrote the above I had a thought you might think it is Hitchcock...it is not. ;)

meg, I think you've got it! today is the anniversary of his death. where's franniee???

franniee

Anniversary of his birthday. :D He died in July 6, 1971 - I actually remember this.... i remember his funeral.

YIPPPPPPPEEEEE Go MEG!!! You guys are great!

Here is what I saw for the tower:
The nickname Satchmo or Satch is short for Satchelmouth (describing his embouchure). In 1932, then Melody Maker magazine editor Percy Brooks greeted Armstrong in London with "Hello, Satchmo!" shortening Satchelmouth (some say unintentionally), and it stuck.

The damage to his embouchure from his high pressure approach to playing is acutely visible in many pictures of Louis from the mid-twenties. It also led to his emphasizing his singing career because at certain periods, he was unable to play. However, after having set his trumpet aside for a while, he amended his playing style and continued his trumpet career. Friends and fellow musicians usually called him Pops, which is also how Armstrong usually addressed his friends and fellow musicians (except for Pops Foster, whom Armstrong always called "George").

XD Weird thing is I thought him a while back, or at least I was thinking jazz singers, but I kind of dismissed it then. Woo hoo! I'll start a new game, yay!
