Holiday Oracle Exchange 2008

I noticed there was a holiday oracle exchange last year, but not one for this year.
I love the idea and would be willing to put it together.
Let me know if anyone is interested.

I would be a "train" format instead of partners... I like that better. Edited to say "round robin" format... not called a "train"... oops.
Also since there are always so many expenditures at the holiday I would think we could have the sending deadline January 31st. This would run really similar to last years...

In the box should be at least:
One Oracle deck
4 other "goodies"... bags, candles, sweets, etc. or more.

Only sign up if you know you can afford to do so and can meet the sending deadline. There is nothing worse than not getting a box.

I'll see how much interest and then post more details. I'm thinking sign up deadline will be Dec. 15th.

Okay, since I'm so excited about this exchange, I'll start with my information:

1. WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE TYPES OF ORACLES?
I love anything earthy, with animals, birds, trees, stones (think lots of nature!); I also like other unusual divination items, not just cards.
2. WHAT TYPES OF ORACLES DO YOU DISLIKE?
I don't care for gothic, angel, vampire or wicca-based oracles. I also don't care for ouja boards. I've got lots of Sibilla and Lenormand style decks already, so I probably don't need any more of those.
3. FAVORITE COLORS?
I love earth tones - rust, tan, brown, brown - as well as jewel tone colors - emerald, deep purple, sapphire, etc.
4. FAVORITE SCENTS / CANDLES / INCENSE?
I love vanilla, cinnamon, apple, lemon (hmm... sounds like food smells here:)). I don't care for heavy, floral smells. I LOVE candles of all sizes and shapes. I'm pretty picky about my incense though - I prefer the Nag Champa that comes in the red, white and blue box (Satya Sai Baba brand).
5. BODY CARE ITEMS?
Don't really take baths much; I'm more of a shower gal. My current favorite is the Orange Ginger line carried by Bath and Body, especially the lotion.
6. JEWELRY / OTHER ACCESSORIES?
Not much of a jewelry person, though I do enjoy wearing simple pendants. I usually prefer to wear silver/pewter types. I have a "pixie" type haircut, so right now in the winter I wear a lot of scarves to keep my neck warm!
7. SPIRITUAL / RELIGIOUS LEANINGS?
Well I took the quiz on belief.net about what type faith you are and it said I was a mix of Hindu/Buddhist/Liberal Jew/Liberal Quaker.:D I don't really have a label for what I am; I just believe in a Higher Power who is kind and loves me and the rest of the Universe.
8. DO YOU COLLECT ANYTHING?
Polished and tumbled stones.
9. OTHER STUFF TO KNOW ABOUT ME / ALLERGIES?
I'm a pretty down-to-earth, blue jeans and t-shirt kind of gal. As the saying goes, "I'd rather have daisies on my table than diamonds on my neck." As I'm supposed to watch my blood sugar, I prefer not to get any sweets (cause I'll eat them any way :D). I do drink coffee, and I love hot lemon teas.

The list of questions bodhran put together seems very good. So I'm going to answer them myself. :*

1. WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE TYPES OF ORACLES?
You know I just like most oracles. I'm an oracle lady. LOL I like earthy, pagan, trees, flowers, goddesses, angels, you name it. I will probably like it. And since I don't usually buy oracles that are not cards I might enjoy something different.
2. WHAT TYPES OF ORACLES DO YOU DISLIKE?
Like bodhran I have quite a few lenormand or sibilla type decks so really don't need anymore of those. And I've tried the Soul Cards before and they freak me out....don't like those.
3. FAVORITE COLORS?
I love earth tones - rust, tan, brown, brown - as well as jewel tone colors - emerald, deep purple, sapphire, etc. - just echoing bodhran!! This is exactly me as well.
4. FAVORITE SCENTS / CANDLES / INCENSE?
I really cannot do anything that is a chemical scent. So please nothing like that. If it's a natural essential oil I'm all for it.....but nothing too flowery or I'm not too much into patchouli or sandlewood either. I like vanilla, citrus, herby stuff.
5. BODY CARE ITEMS?
Again I'm very picky about what I put on my body. It has to be all natural. No chemicals. But I love a good body lotion as long as it's all natural ingredients.
6. JEWELRY / OTHER ACCESSORIES?
I love jewelry - any and all kinds. Silver or copper - not too much into gold. Any and all types of stones too.
7. SPIRITUAL / RELIGIOUS LEANINGS?
I'm pretty spiritual but not in to any one type of religion. I take a little bit of all and put it together.
8. DO YOU COLLECT ANYTHING?
Faeries!!!!!, crystals, harry potter/lord of the rings stuff.

Every night I write in my journal so can always use another 8 1/2 x 11 lined journal. I fill one up pretty quickly that's why I have to use the larger sized one. LOL I do love to read channeled spiritual information - actually I just love to learn and read. }) I have allergies to wheat and dairy so that gets a bit difficult sometimes to stay away from.

Some of what I have currently: Hidden path, well worn path, aora gemstone, frouds fae etc

Nothing difficult to learn, grasp. no foreign languages please, no lenormands either.

3. FAVORITE COLORS?
I love bright and warm colors being born in the summer think tropical :)

4. FAVORITE SCENTS / CANDLES / INCENSE?
If it's a natural essential oil I'm all for it, no musky smells though. I love warming smells. Pumpkin pie, blueberry scones, warm sandy beaches, or Freesia as a floral example or something completely clear and crisp cleansing smelling like cotton.

5. BODY CARE ITEMS?
It has to be all natural. No chemicals. But I love a good body lotion for dry skin types, or warming shower scrubs like coconut.

6. JEWELRY / OTHER ACCESSORIES?
I'm into gold jewlery again, mostly small plain chunky gold.

7. SPIRITUAL / RELIGIOUS LEANINGS?
I'm into Natures religion. :)

8. DO YOU COLLECT ANYTHING?
Quartz, rose or amathyst crystals for my garden plants I like to keep one in each pot I grow something in to help the plant.

Me too :D No allergies here and no particular likes/dislikes... (well, obviously, apart from arsenic which i wouldn't appreciate receiving, though i doubt anyone would sent it via an exchange of a kind :D) Also, since the offer on local market is very different - i can't fit into wish lists from other sides of the planet (exact line of body-care products, particular oracles an so on), but i believe i'll please the person to whom i'll be sending the parcel ;)

Patchouli oil/candles, anything woody or earthy, ONLY natural essential oil as I have reactions to synthetic oils (headaches and such). Love Nag Champa and Superhit incense.

Natural, no nasties. Pref. plant-based.

6. Jewelry / other accessories?

Silver, but I don’t really wear jewellery any more.

Bad reactions to synthetic fragrances. Into handmade and secondhand stuff, and fair trade etc. Sweat shops are an issue for me. Australian Quarantine/Customs are strict on plant/animal stuff, too, so bear that in mind.

hmm, pretty much anything. I've got a heap of DV decks, & now looking to step forward & into something abit more 'deeper', I'm also enjoying decks which don't have phrases on them (like alot of DV decks do), to open up the intuition gates without seeing the 'theme' the card suggests.

2. What types of oracles do you dislike?
i don't think i've found anything that really turns me off, other than, as someone (cat??) mentioned above, the self-empowerment type cards. like the 'daily guidance from your angels' and the louise hay 'affirmation-for-a-day-cards. nothing wishy-washy, goody-goody. haha if that makes sense!

3. Favorite colors?
love them all, not set aversions!

4. Favorite scents / candles / incense?
love my essential oils! not keen on the scent of clove, aniseed. Love vanilla, patchouli, lavender, peppermint, clary sage, sandalwood, geranium, nag champa, lots of woody, earthy scents. I also like citrus, and a hint of sweet, but not overpoweringly sweet! hmmm...am I being difficult :D

5. Body care items?

Natural, no nasties. Pref. plant-based.

6. Jewelry / other accessories?

hmmm, I can be pretty fussy with jewellery, etc, & have my set items that I wear as everyday, and going out, different occasions, etc. So perhaps a suggestion to by-pass this one for me....

7. Spiritual / religious leanings?
I love reading anything with a more spiritual lean to it. I don't have a specific belief/denomination. Into past lives, mediumship & psychic 'stuff'. I'm a real book worm!! I don't really read books that are about religion though, other than if I am referencing something, or it comes up in a reading about something.

8. Do you collect anything?
I really want to start reading tarot cards seriously. So I'm looking to start getting a couple of decks, starting out with a few 'good-to-start-learning-with' decks, that have illustrated pip cards. I also love crystals & candals, candle holders, shells & pebbles, unique glass-wear (anything glass that is different. however that may be abit of a hassle to post)

9. Other stuff to know about me / allergies?
No specific allergies, however have a sensitive nose to dust and really strong irritating smells (like cheap nasty perfumes, such as the stuff from avon & nutrimetics, which my mother in laws always gives me for x-mas!) I love unique, one-off stuff, such found at markets, home-made, etc. I don't have an issue with second stuff at all, if anything I prefer second hand, has a real nice 'feel' to it.

10. What are a couple of oracle decks that are on your wish list?

yes customs is a big deal in Oz, and flowers, feathers and sometimes stones are taken out of parcels - but sometimes they make it...

(but can ship over seas - Argentina is worse than Australia mind you ;) )

I now know that if I pack it right (nice and flat) I can send it as a "large letter" for half that, but it's still a rort. I sent a large Thoth to the US a few weeks ago and it cost me $25. Ouch.

Actually, I'm a huge fan of the "surprise factor" in exchanges ... I have to describe my wishes to my family down to a t, and basically I could just do my own Christmas shopping myself ... so I will not put up a lengthy list of favourites! Let your imagination run wild :D

My household is an eclectic jumble, so almost anything goes!

My few REAL dislikes - not into cutesy cherubic and glittery stuff and I never drink tea except for therapeutic reasons.

I will be keeping Oz separate just because everyone from there has expressed that shipping is a bear and expensive.

I am so, so excited about this exchange, like a kid! :D
I've participated in two exchanges so far and both parcels from my than exchange partners (:heart:Aulruna and Marina :heart:) were literally "deepest wish come true", so meaningful, so full of light and care! There isn't a wish list i could think of myself that would resonate with me so much and make me so happy and fulfiled as the gifts my friends choose for me...
I wouldn't like you to think i am exaggerating, so just a small part ;)
Marina sent me an oracle, an improved edition of the Gypsy cards my granma read; i haven't learned to read them while i could and after my granmother passed away i believed i'll never find any book with meanings that she used... well, the book Marina sent me with the deck is in the exact spirit my granma read the cards :D
(Btw, i got to AT in the first place while looking on info on those rare cards...)
Among all the other beautiful items Aulruna sent me (two of them are permanently on my Altar ), there was a CD with ambiental music... Apart from me playing it when receiving very special guests at home (for example, a friend who is a Lama/teacher in Tibetan Buddhist tradition), it helped my friend to whom i landed it, he is recovering from very serious disease and he says the music from that cd makes him feel calm and relaxed.
Sorry if OT, but i seriously *suspect* providence has her finger in this exchanges :D

My package got here today. I thought ros's package to faunabay would beat mine her, but guess I'm first.
I can't begin to tell you what a perfect day this arrived on... my day just wasn't going well... and last week was awful. Things began to turn around yesterday and boy did this help!!!
I can't tell you how amazed I was with it. Bodhran is amazing!!! HUGE hugs! I PM'd her the second it hit my hands and I opened it!

I can't believe how much was stuffed into this box (large flat rate size)
Got a warm handmade ORANGE scarf, very cool. Dove chocolates... the dark kind }) Yummy! I got a Celtic Animal Oracle, trimmed beautifully. Never owned a trimmed deck before :D The Power Animal Oracle by Steve Farmer, Oracle of the Dragonfae (Swooon... it's gorgeous!), and Pathfinders Cards (such an amazing huge animal oracle). bodhran also made a Druid stick oracle... very cool. I'm going to try my hand at making one or more of these. A handmade (amber colored) prayer bead strand... amazing!! A beautiful multi-pointed crystal, and a really cool Sabian Symbols book with dice. All of the decks have bags made with different animal patterns... No idea where bodhran found the time to do that. I think I'm forgetting something, but it's early so not thinking much yet. LOL.

I can not even begin to tell you how amazed and blessed I feel. My gf was also amazed. We could both really feel the package was jammed full of love and joy!! I kinda got weepy even....

I think what I'm going to do for my personal 2009 reading this year will be different.
Usually I do a 2 deck tarot spread... theme of the month and then advice for the month. Then I forget to look at it very often.
This year... bodhran's package has inspired a new and improved plan...
I'm going to get my animal guides... one from each of the animal decks she sent. That way there is something concrete to work with for the year, the lessons, etc. And one Dragonfae too.

Oh... and one aspect I love about Dragonfae book... is the "how to work with this Dragonfae" section for each one. Some actual hands on activities/ideas, etc. LOVE THAT!!

I need to take pics of all the stuff... you guys have to see the Mala (prayer) beads she made... Wonderful!

Yep. They are basically a Buddhist version of the rosary. There are a TON of mantras you can say while using them. I'm ordering a book/CD for that now. The prayers/mantras are in Sanskrit.
BUT... I gather that you can use them in many ways other than this... to say affirmations, to keep you focused on your meditation.

Okay, if anyone needs to pack for a trip in a small suitcase, just ask Faunabay to help you out.:D My postman just staggered up the walkway with a package about the size of a shoebox, but it was as heavy as an elephant! And oh the endless wonders and surprises inside! Everything was wrapped in colorful tissue paper, so it was like Christmas all over again. The first thing I unwrapped was the Angelic Messenger Cards. I've been wanting these for a while. This was a lovely book and deck set; the card themselves are extreme closeups of flowers - just gorgeous! I pulled one card and got a message that reinforced something I've been trying to do lately. The message was a very clear one! I also had two lovely lined bags - one a colorful Mardi Gras pattern and one with wild horses. She also included a tin full of stones - many jaspers and agates, along with two of the most awesome palmstones (a tiger iron and a unakite). You sure know the way to this rock-lover's heart! Faunabay also included some yummy smelling shower gel (sweet pomegranate), a beautiful pendulum (amethyst - my birthstone), along with a book on using pendulums. And no, that's not all!!! :bugeyed:I got a silky leopard print scarf as well as a black/metallic one (this one I might have to use on an altar as well as around my neck:)). And last but not least, a set of Celtic Wisdom sticks! The little burlap bag that came with it brought back memories of growing up on a farm and using large bags like these to put pecans in.:) Faunabay, I don't know how to thank you for such a thoughtful package that you put together. I case you did not know, GC puts together the greatest packages - at least for me!

It started with a big bang right away - she sent me the Ocean Oracle, which I have been lusing after ever since I missed it on the trading train! I'm psyched!!
Then there was the lovely Mermaids & Dolphins Oracle by Gillian Kemp in keepig with the sea theme, and a souvenir milk can from Cornwall, which has gone right on my studio table to be filled with paintbrushes and put me in a good mood.
The Kuan Yin Oracle, which is actually a book, I will have to figure out how it works! Never seen anything like it!
A silver leaf right from Middle Earth to hold together a scarf, and the most gorgeous, dramatic Goth earrings - black blossoms! And glamourous black and silver bracelets.
A silver daily planner, very stylish.
A beautiful assortment of gemstones.
A burgundy knit hat with sequins that goes great with my black and grey winter coats.
A foot massage rolle which is beneath my feet right now and really perfect for a poor commuter like me.
Soap bubbles for fairy magic :D
A great cookbook with recipes for happiness... mouthwatering things like Tangy Pasta in Gooey cheese :D Who would not love that??

And then there was my secret favourite... the GC Special Item... a Barbie Lucky Bag!! All pink and girly and full of fun things :D

Oh I'm SO thrilled you liked everything! :) I had a blast getting it all together for you and had to add some playfull elements to it too lol Silly but fun :) The Kuan Yin ORacle book is a flip book really, meaning you open the book by gut feeling and read the number your drawn to or you can make the bamboo sticks number them all then just pick a stick and read the coresponding number from the book for its meaning. Either way it should keep you busy! :)

ok, ....drumroll.....

I did indeed (awhile ago now...:-S) receive marina's beautiful holiday package! I was quite spoilt!!!

in the early posts I mentioned that I am trying to learn tarot, so I was blessed with not one, but TWO decks!!! The Four Elements (which is very rich in symbolism, I've been devouring the book and deck since I recieved it) and also a mystic meg deck with book held in a beautiful blue bag :D
A DIVINE Blue Lace Agate sphere, which just emits such a beautiful strong energy...sigh, I think I'm in love with it :D
A Malachite pendant, which as soon as I can find my crafts box (we have moved just recently) I'll be wearing it.
Also a candle 'Clarity' which is beautiful! I have it burning during readings & when I'm meditating, it evokes a lovely feeling even when I just think about the scent of it.
The little giant encyclopedia of Handwriting Analysis, couldn't have come at a better time, as I was just scouring the local library for books of Handwriting Analysis, now I have my own!! yay!!
Lime essential oil, which I haven't used before, but can now use along with my others :)
I also recieved a beautiful (hmmm need to find more words for descriptive use, lol) handcrafted mirror. It is the size of the base of a glass, on one side is the mirror with an orange rim with mirrored diamonds circling it, and on the other side it is golden orange with mirrored diamonds, a flower pattern in the middle, then a second outer circle with spaced diamonds, then the final outer circle with mirror diamonds all the way around. I'm thinking of perhaps trying scrying with this little gem, as it is just to exquisite for 'everyday' use.
I'm still not finished yet!
Marina also included a bottle of trilogy certified organic rosehip oil and several inspiring fridge magnets. I have removed all 'junk' paper from my fridge, and have now placed these magnets, as daily affirmations :)

THANK YOU so much Marina!!! When I recieved my package, I was so excited, that the shopping I had just done had to wait to be put away. well, kind of, I quickly put the perishables in their bags still, in the fridge, as it was abit hot, but then the rest had to wait!!

well I think pretty easy.. but Im bias!

I run a free website (edited by moderator - please use website link at the bottom of this post) where you enter your birth details and it gives you your astrology as a table of crystals and sabian symbols- then you take your list look up the crystals in Crystal Astrology (or if you prefer your own research - google) and voila you have your crystal astrology! For example -
you find your sun is
Sabian Symbol: A man unmasked
Crystal Element: Tourmalinated Quartz
that is your birth day crystal :)
then you look up Tourmalinated Quartz in the crystal index at the back of the book and you find it will tell you -

Aquarius 18
Birthdays: February 5th–7th
Numerology: 318
Marc Edmund Jones Key Word: Analysis
Jane Ridder-Patrick Healing Body Point: Spinal nervous system
Expression: Tourmalinated Quartz is quartz with black tourmaline inclusions. Tourmalinated Quartz promotes assertiveness, commitment and cooperation.
Message: Candid acknowledgement of the current situation.
Sun Focus: You uncover fear, resolving complicated problems with empathetic skill and insight.

you will get one crystal for the moon and each planet mercury/venus/mars etc - the introduction tells you what means what.... if you want to go there, lots of people are happy to get the list and work their own way from there..

The main thing I love about the book is the 360 colour crystal photos - so many unique and interesting stones/crystals/rocks
and detail in the 'expression' 'message' and 'affirmation' sections hold true for the crystal - so its like a crystal dictionary if astrology isnt your thing..

Yes you will have to account for daylight savings,
look at your location in normal time and compare it to the GMT time

eg Kansas City UTC/GMT -6 hours during daylight savings its -5 hours
so on the time zone look up table select a time zone based on time - 5 hours (rather than location)

You have to use military time for PM... just add 12 to anything after Noon.
So say 7:00 pm is really 19:00. Oh and say 12:15 (midnight +) is 0:15.

One word can’t sum up the feelings that flooded into my being on opening the parcel from Thorhammer!
IT looked like a colour therapy oracle opening the box with so many beautifully coloured paper wrappings..
What was in it


Firstly a magnificent silver/white soft shiny oracle cloth OHhh its perfect – very feminine wrapped this precious cargo for its travel – angelic

A magnificent card – with a Tarot SUN on it – the best card in the deck I always tell people ‘I never get that’ in my readings
BUT I did – today I DID (yes yes there were tears at this point)

I opened the Forest Berries ‘fruit in fusion’ (Blackcurrants, strawberries, blackberries, hibiscus, rosehip, bilberries and elderberries) first – Ohh yum and colourful, will try it tomorrow – have you had this before? Is it best warm or cold?!! Cant wait!
A gourmet food and wine carrier with Margaret River on it (OH I dare to dream to return to that magical place)

The colour is the exact colour of yellow/golden topaz which is the colour I am working with at the moment (working with to understand and employ in my life). A Golden Healer is a quartz crystal with yellow on or in it - different yellow than citrine. Very pretty and very good energically! I have a couple and love them!! They feel so good! :)

Here is a pic of the golden healer,
(Golden quartz accesses very high (Christ Consciousness) information and also activates the 3rd chakra marrying our will with the divine will)
There are naturally occuring golden healers with natural ammounts of iron oxide on and within them this one has been enhanced (which is perfect for this particular crystal sample).
The size does not translate well - this crystal is big, as big as my palm and about 5cm tall)

It is sitting on the oracle cloth I recieved!

Ha, i am in the second of two transiting years (that's by the amazing numerological reading our beloved ros did for me ;)) and, again - 100% accurate, in the "outer reality" it manifested so far as the change of career and, if it can be called so, the change in social circle; with many folks i used to be quite close with it seems we completed our Tikkune/Karma for this life and it was as if we grew apart because we didn't have much to contribute to each other's growth any more; so many relationships ended ( where as only one in a bad way), than there was that limbo phase and now there are some new people (rather "old-new" who were away or busy with other things) coming into my life with whom i feel more ... well, myself! :D

My mail carrier brought me the most awesome box ever today!!!!!!!

I so don't know where to start! Once I got the box open all I could see was bright shiny wrapping paper, it was Christmas all over again. There was so much in this box I don't know where to start. I guess at the beginning.

The first thing I opened was a "It's a cats world calender" this has a predestined place beside my computer. The red Buddha and elephant are already living on top of my monitor. Then I opened the smell good and pamper yourself stuff. A ginormous bath bomb, tranquil sleep tea, vanilla/cinnamon soap, citrus zing lip balm, an awesome smelling lavender sugar scrub and not to be shared Belgian chocolates and a package of spicy Mexican hot chocolate.

Then there was the to be shared with the critters stuff, a squeaky toy (that they were wrestling for a few minutes ago) and treats (that Jacques insists should be eaten in the bed) for the pups. And a cat toy (that has already disappeared under the couch). Oh and kitty has claimed the shipping box as another part of her present. The bf has already decided that he gets to play with the travel cranium game (which will be great to have on our trip to Disney later in the month).

Ok so now i have gotten to the bestest part ever!
SOUL CARDS!!!!- I have been wanting these, they were on my amazon wish list. I bounced all over the room when I opened these. They were in a very nice red and gold brocade bag.
Messages from your Animal Spirit Guides- I picked a copy of this deck for Ros, while I was at the magic store I talked myself out of buying myself a copy.
Synchro-Signs- This is a new oracle to me but what I have read about the tiles , I am so going to love 'em.

Last time i mailed something to UK (quite recently), though it was also sent with priority mail, it took longer than that, but that friend of mine lives in a somewhat remoted area, so it shouldn't be the case with GC's parcel.
It was funny when i was sending a parcel to Afrosaxon in one of the previous exchanges - i travelled to another part of my country to mail it (they have more flexible "sending policy" there and i wanted to include some liquid things and candles that couldn't be mailed from here); meanwhile she moved to another city and her mom actually had to re-sent the parcel to another part of US... thus the parcel was travelling for some two months across the planet untill it reached its new home! The important thing is that Afrosaxon liked it once she got it - but i believe its among the "longest travelling" parcels in AT exchanges ever! Oh, i remember there was another case when the parcel actually got lost inbetween the continents (i think it was sent to Shiks in India, but i'm not sure) and it magically re-appeared somewhere at Indian customs after six months! :bugeyed: :eek: :D

OMG, i don't know where from to begin! First, honestly, i didn't expect the parcel to be brought to my door, they usually sent me a note and i have to go customs, yada-yada... Not this time, the postman said he decided to bring it home, nevertheless it was HEAVY!!! And it was very heavy!
When i removed the brown paper, there was absolutely stylish white box with silver top - very beautiful and, than, when i removed the silver top... There was a treasure, all wrapped up in separate pink parcels!

SJ, dear, i just went through the reding and the feedback again and i think its better like this,which is - not to post it publickly, no need for that i think becase this subform is not subscribers-only.
Anyway, Aulruna, Stones Oracle reads fabulously - i totally understand what are the stones saying and what i saw seemed to make sense to SJ! ;)
I can't "put my clow" on the Moon oracle and travelling box (SJ knows what happened, but i didn't want to upset the rest of you); my dad developed very high fever Friday night, 39 C, that's too much, mind he is 75; so the doctor came and went, gave him some shot, but he was still trembling and "burning" from fever; than i remembered about Auruna's charged gemstones, moon stones and faery wishes, that they have healing power and brought them to him; it was so funny because my father usually is not open to Faeries and alternative healing and there he was - he personally made a wish and stuck it to prayer box and he personally choose a moon stone which he won't take uder his pillow now! :D
Its so funny, his room i mean - the dedly serious books on politics, dad's medals and framed black and white pictures of Winston Cherchil and Tito - they now peacefully coexist with Moon stones and Faery dust! The visiting doctor said he must immediately see his chosen GP in the morning, because he seemed to have cought that virus, we have bad epidemy here... But guess what, the symptoms were gone untill the morning, dad felt pefectly well by Saturday morning... and he is not giving back the borrowed stuff ! :D
p.s. Aulruna, Bamboo and Weisser tee oil is awesome for reducing fever - i rubbed it into my dad's forehead and feet (honestly, i have no idea how i came up with that) and his temretature fell from 39C to 38C in some five minutes!!! :bugeyed: I doen't even know what kind of tree is Weisser and for what is it used traditionally - but, thank goodness, it worked! :D

Shhh... My mom asked whether she can put together the puzzle Aulruna sent - i said yes (lol what can i say?), she didn't make lunch today, but the puzzle is completed! It stands in the middle of the table in their dining room, so today we had lunch everyone holding her/his plate on the knees while admiring the puzzle! :D (It is very beautiful though!)

Psssst ... :shhh: I asked my RWS:"when will GC's parcel arrive?" and it said - The Judgement... Well, the Judgement is related to the "Jewish New Year", Rosh Hashanah and this Sunday is TuBShevat, also called The New Year for the trees, so that's when i reckon the parcle will arrive! ;)
(Note: Fifteenth day of month of Shevat, Aquarius, was from yesterday's sunset untill today's sunset. ;))
The oracle is Biedermeier Gipsy Fortune Telling Cards - i read you'd like to have "Gypsies"! :D
(And it is very similar to Lenormand.)
I was concerned about cosmetics - because i read you use only 100% natural brands - the body milk and the small stuff with it is the only brand i could find here that doesn't have any chemicals added. ;) (Its made in Greece, btw, they just recently opened a shop here in Delta City.)

souljourney - I have 3 different lenormands you can look at and see what type you like. I went through a big lenormand phase a little over a year ago. Bought a bunch of them! They're so inexpensive compared to tarot. LOL I just kept the ones I really liked, but like I said I have 3 of them you can look at. :)

Lol - i know what you mean, i also mostly shower because when i indulge in a bath - neighbours downstairs have a flood ... and it can't be fixed. :(

Update: Aulruna's Moon Oracle is washable in the washing mashine on 90 degrees (boiling)! :D Of course, there is no need to do it - but in case your father hijacks your oracle and hides the Moon stones under the pillow and than your unsuspecting of anyhing mother puts the sheets in the washing machine and turns it on boiling... don't warry, the precious oracle won't be damaged! :D
(The Moon stones will make noise while in the machine though - but they'll come out of that ordeal untouched! :D)

Everyone else far from the fires? Where my MIL lives in California, and aunt too, they get them a lot. Usually some dumba** starts it unintentionally. My aunt and uncle and 2 dogs got to spend a few days at the football stadium last year during an evacuation. Their house ended up being ok... less than 1/2 mile away was where the firefighters finally got control.

Hey :) It's Sunday here, and hopefully I see it this coming week. Australia Post doesn't have tracking numbers, as far as I know - and if they did the price would be prohibitive, trust me - but I never expected KS to go to huge lengths to post the parcel! We all take chances with the postal systems, as we've seen recently ;)

Wow :bugeyed: I'm stumped!!

I've run some test with them to check if the paint was properly set (you need to bake it in the oven), because I used two different brands of paint ... but nothing that extreme :D

Might use this as a testimonial if I ever start that Etsy shop :D

Unfortunatley I have bad news.
thorhammers parcel has been eaten alive by australia post somewhere between here & there (where ever that may be.....)
BUT, I am compiling a NEW parcel, which is nearly complete, and it will be sent (with lots of love, blessings & stern instructions NOT TO GET LOST) on monday once I have the final bits n bobs. This time it will be sent express, so a)it gets there within a couple of days, and b) so it can be tracked & traced & its whereabouts known at all times (theoretically anyway)

I have pm'd thorhammer to let her know.

I am so upset with both myself & the AusPost system.

anyway, breathe in, release the tension, and re-set the vibes for the new parcel. thorhammer you WILL have it in you hot little hands next week!!!

I got my parcel from knowledgeseeker yesterday :) (KS, I do hope that you're taking care of yourself.)

The first thing that came out of the package was the heavenly scent of Nag Champa! There was a packet each of nag and Superhit - my two favourite incenses :) Also:


four small crystals - citrine, carnelian, aquamarine and tiger eye
amethyst pendulum
a book on Practical Astrology
a small bag of runes, painted in gold on blue glass pebbles (one was broken :( but it turned out to be the blank one anyway :))
a book on runes
a large seashell
two magnets with inspirational messages on them

yay, the package arrived!
not so yay, a broken rune!! that would have happened in transit as all runes were complete, intact and crack, chip, broken bits free :-(
