I was stuck in traffic earlier, thinking...

I was thinking about Leonardo da Vinci´s theory that if he took all the most beautiful parts from the most beautiful women, he could put them all together and create the single most beautiful woman ever known to man.

So I was thinking, if I could take my favourite cards from my favourite decks, I could create the most perfect tarot deck ever (for me, anyway....)

Truly, a deck made in heaven.

I can tell you have a real passion for tarot by the cards you chose.

I have been thinking about this very idea. I have many Lo Scarabeo decks. They are essentially the same size. It is possible to look through them and then take out my favorites from them and then shuffle them together as one deck. Humm . ..

I might just try this and post what I find.

yeah, it must be in the air. i'm sure the idea comes around for the tarot-obsessed every so often, but i've been thinking about it a lot in the past few days, too.

my deck would look pretty strange. heh. haindl's emperor, tarot of a moon garden's wheel, probably tarot nova's queen of swords, halloween's hierophant... art nouveau's king of swords... quantum's hermit and death... then add all the cards i adore from decks i don't own, and it gets crazy.

The one which only comes with the gold. The one with the mermaid. I just think it´s exquisite.

Great thread Le Fanu. I will be back with mine tomorrow. I had done this a year ago with the idea I'd actually print out my 'perfect deck'. I had a look at the list I'd done back then and I had quite a few 'what was I thinking?' moments. It's interesting with some cards how you have so many contenders and with others you can search through every deck and not have one to include. Interesting exercise though.

How true.... I think it speaks volumes on the cards you cannot think of examples for. It tells you the cards you just don´t really have much connection with.

For me, the last ones I had to rack my brains for was Temperance and The World... Cards I don´t find particularly fascinating...

I'm really struggling with the Devil.

I have been thinking of this for so long. I find one card. like the Justice card in the Vertigo and that sold that deck for me. One deck I do not have yet but will get is the Transformational Tarot. It has for me the perfect MAGICIAN.
