April Fools and The Fool

An interesting revelation came to me today. I was watching a video in class and in an interview on the video, a man stated, "It happened on April Fool's day which means April the first."

I immediately realised a connection to Tarot that I never saw before! I don't know if this maybe belongs in the history board, but I wonder if there is any connection between the use of the use of the phrase April Fools and the Fool in tarot being the first card.

The Fool is not always about fun or wild times. I saw King Lear recently, and the Fool there was all about comforting the King in anguish. Not a pleasant way to spend the day, Nisaba, but meaningful.

April Fools is derived from long ago when a group of people wanted to make the 1st of April the first day of the new year. It was so rediculous people called them April Fools.
