Crystals for helping eyesight/eyestrain?

tigerlily

Hi,

I'm myopic and have just begun some vision training. Not expecting to actually improve my eyesight (though that would be nice), but training myself to reduce eyestrain and "defreezing" my eye muscles. I remember reading that there are crystals to help your eyes, but I can't remember where I read it nor which crystals are used. Any ideas?

Hee - I'd never have thought of this! :D And I love tigereye!

I had to google Galena -very interesting.

And I remembered that I had read about the use of crystals for the eyes in Hildegard of Bingen's Physica: she uses several, among them Lapislazuli (another favourite of mine).

Optical Calcite (also known as Iceland Spar) is said to be good for the eyes, eye strain, and improving eyesight. I had a piece of this in the past and used it myself; I found that when I used it to soothe strain it worked well and it seemed to temporarily boost my vision, at least a little.

My eyes are not terrible, but it helped. It's also cheap and easy to get.
