I have noticed people pulling particular lines or sections from other people's posts in a thread so they can respond to that particular person/statement. They show up in a blue box italicized. Could someone please tell me how it is done?

Also, how do people add the little pictures by their name?

Is there a page that explains these type of technical questions?

Thanks for your help.

Hi !

Try FAQs - most of what you ask is in there.

Avatars (the pictures) - go to USER CP and edit your profile; then choose an avatar. As a pretty new non subscriber, you only have a few choices - as shown here (http://www.tarotforum.net/misc.php?do=showavatars); when you subscribe (you can identify subscribers by the little star by their names) you can use your own avatar; otherwise - the more posts you have the more choices you get.

Quoting posts - find the post you want to quote, click on the quote button at the bottom and it will come up in the blue box when you have added what you want to say. You'll see it with the coding in the message box that comes up; be careful not to delete it when you type in your part. You can also see the code with the [ and the ] and the word "quote" which will mean you can create your own - like this:

See what I did ?

That's how people do it when they quote a lot of people in one post.

You can find lots of formatting etc codes by clicking on the "vbcode is on" button at the bottom of the page. Or just go here (http://www.tarotforum.net/misc.php?do=bbcode).

It gets to be second nature after a while. Welcome, by the way !
