Pouter, as has been pointed out to you, moderators close threads and generally don't do it on request unless there's a good reason. I wouldn't have thought that allecto's post was off-topic at all, nor that s/he was hijacking your thread.

Being that you're quite new here, it might be a good idea to take a while to get used to the tone of the forum before ordering threads shut left and right? ;)
