I hope no one minds me starting a new one. I love this game, but I haven't played in a really long time.

Anyway. This person is alive.

Hi, All! I am learning so much playing this game.

I drew six cards (using the Fantastical Tarot) to ask about this person:

1. Is this person male or female? FOUR OF WANDS
2. How might this person look? NINE of SWORDS, RX
3. Personality of this person? THREE OF WANDS
4. Career of this person? FIVE OF WANDS, RX
5. What might be going on in this person’s life? TOWER, RX
6. What’s this person famous for? STAR

Given the Four of Wands (and the fact that every card I pulled is associated with fire or air) I am guessing that this person is a man.

I am pretty shaky still on reading appearances but since a Sword came up for appearance I will guess that this person has dark hair and eyes.

As for personality, it would seem that this person has a very strong, extroverted, get-out-there personality. He seems ambitious and willing to take on ambitious projects – perhaps just because he is so very sure of himself. He believes in himself and his ability to make things happen. The concept of failure rarely crosses his mind. He may also be a person who likes to act or to take action. He is raring to go!

As for career, the reversed Five of Wands seems to say that he works in an area that has lots of competition. It may be hard to get to the top of his area but he is well-placed to do so if only because of his self-confidence.

The Reversed Tower would seem to suggest that this person has very recently been through a big change. Things are going to be different for him now but he is ready to dust himself off and re-invent himself.

The last card – the Star – seems to indicate that his signature is to be at the center of things. He is a Star! This and the Reversed Five of Wands makes me think that maybe he is in show business and maybe (because of the Three of Wands) an actor.

So….hmmm….this person seems to be a dark-haired man who is (at least most of the time) supremely sure of himself, who may be in the entertainment industry and who is a “Star.” He may have recently been through a big change but is now ready to shine again.

I can’t think of who this person might be, though!! I’m off to work now so I will think about it today and watch for what others have to say….

sorry i didn't get back to this game till now. okay, living person--and using the gilded deck:

while shuffling the judgment card rx fell out. this seems to indicate our living person is someone who is afraid of not succeeding in his life. I feel our MP is a man, and is someone who sets high standards for himself.

6 swords, 5 swords rx, 3 cups rx

and yet, he is running away from some confrontation/challenge that has happened in the past to him. hiding from it. he cannot accept it. being next to the 5 of swords rx, and the woman in the 6 swords is facing this man in the 5 of swords rx, I believe the challenge/confrontation has to do with words spoken against our MP--something they are embarrassed about--whether or not it is truth. and with the 3 of cups rx in the last position, could it be indicating that these words had something to do with three people--perhaps a love affair gone awry. I also feel with the judgment card, this is someone whom we, (the general public) would generally hold to a high standard.

no idea who yet, but most likely one of our politicians who got caught in the act of having an affair, I bet!

Read both of your readings and there are a lot of spot on interpretations. I will wait a little while to see if anyone else wants to give it a shot and then offer some feedback.

Hi! I have been thinking over the cards and this mystery person.

Going by my very first impression that maybe this person is an actor I am going to guess Eddie Murphy, Russell Crowe or Antonio Banderas.

Thinking about Celticnoodle’s sense that this person might be a politician I am thinking about Marion Barry.

Lastly, I drew one more card today (Justice) to ask what about this person would stand out for me. Based on this (and despite the fact that there was so much “masculine” energy in the cards I pulled) I am going to guess Sonia Sotomayor.

Not quite. This is not a man. And she has light hair, and I think her eyes are a light brown or a hazel. Hard to tell.

Yes, this is true.

As for career, the reversed Five of Wands seems to say that he works in an area that has lots of competition. It may be hard to get to the top of his area but he is well-placed to do so if only because of his self-confidence.
Lot's of competition but it never seemed to affect her much. Definitely well placed.

The Reversed Tower would seem to suggest that this person has very recently been through a big change. Things are going to be different for him now but he is ready to dust himself off and re-invent himself.
Not recently. But definitely had a history of re-invention.

The last card – the Star – seems to indicate that his signature is to be at the center of things. He is a Star! This and the Reversed Five of Wands makes me think that maybe he is in show business and maybe (because of the Three of Wands) an actor.
Yes, she is a star, and an actress.

You are on the right track.

Not a man, but I do think she has high standards for herself.

I'm not aware of any challenge recently, but she has had past issues in the public eye. And she doesn't seem to do too well in the relationship department. The three people could have something to do with her failed marraiges/engagements. Not sure if she is held to a high standard by everyone, but certainly by some.

no idea who yet, but most likely one of our politicians who got caught in the act of having an affair, I bet! Nope.

The cards laid:
Knight of Wands, Empress, 4 Wands, The World, 5 Swords, 3 Wands, 5 Pentacles, QoP.

I have no idea LOL! I thought Keira Knightly (sp?) ... but I think it maybe someone older than her. Cate Blanchett?

I drew an Oracle card which indicated what I thought to be English period roles such as the likes of The Dutchess, Elizabeth, The other Boylan Woman - than type of thing - maybe she is very set in her casting of roles. The Oracle indicated she is at saturation point and needs to move forward in her career - she is 'old fashioned'.
Edited to add: The Oracle mentioned a bob hairdo - and I thought of Katie Cruise ... or whatever her name is now ;) .. ah Katie Holmes.

Cheers

I pulled two more cards to try to figure this out!

I asked about what kind of work this actress does. I got the Seven of Cups. Perhaps this actress works in many different areas (stage and screen) or maybe she acts in many different types of roles.

I also pulled Justice. Perhaps she balances her work – maybe she is artistically very good and also able to pull in money. Or again maybe she is able to balance and pull off many different types of roles.

These characteristics make me think of Meryl Streep or Bette Midler.

She has been in a different types of movies, though nothing I would consider artistic. The idea of being able to pull in money could be because she decided to have more control over the movies she makes by starting her own production company. She is younger than the actressses you mentioned.

Older than Keira Knightly, younger than Cate Blanchett. She hasn't done any English period roles that I know of. I will double check her IMDB bio to make sure. It might help to do some readings about her childhood.

Your reading fits her to a "t" but it isn't Susan Sarandon.

MP's childhood:

3 Cups, 2 Wands rx, 4 pents rx

Lots of celebrating, parties, lots of people around her, a loss of direction, impatience, impulsiveness, and loss of financial control mismanagement.

Drew Barrymore?
