The old thread was old anyway- so here's a poll so we can just check it off. Easier to read, I think. ;) JLB (Leos rule!)
Looks good so far, thanks for voting. Now we can see the numbers easily. I hope making a poll of this here didn't offend anyone?

I hope more water signs come out and represent, though. We're supposed to be so psychic, and into mysterious things, and all that! It doesn't surprise me that the Cancerians are speaking up. And I hope more Scorpios show. But, where are you Pisceans out there? Something will be really fishy if you don't vote in. (Ooooohhhh....)

And, yes, in my experience, Leos are really as outgoing as all that. They're friendly and fun. If you are sad, hang out with a Leo person, and they'll cheer you up like you wouldn't believe! The blues turn into a polka around Leo people. But don't ever get onstage with one, because no one will notice YOU at all!

Actually, I have heard before that those interested in tarot, psychic and astrological types of studies typically have Aquarius featured prominently in their chart.
I have also heard that Pisces have a tendancy to represent.
I would be curious about this information beyond Sun signs, as I know that my rising impacts me greatly in my personality.
I am a Taurus/Aquarius rising.

Thanks for bumping this up, I've been away with my head in my studies, and to think! I almost missed this!! ;) I'm wondering maybe Leo's are into this more than others because we have a tendency to see the big picture? The results seem to be changing with some signs actually going down!
There clearly is a swing away from Scorpio and indeed at least one Scorpio has changed their birth sign in protest at Scorpio dominance.
The expected rush of Geminis has finally materialised and at the moment it seems that Sun sign has absolutely no relationship to card reading.
Will there be a Scorpio backlash?

Fellow Aquarian! You're right! Although, I haven't had a chance to actually go through my natal chart very throughly, I would have to say you are right. According, to what I know about my chart. Pisces is represented in my chart. I have a Pisces in my seventh house. I'm not sure what all of my chart means yet, but, I do find it interesting.

I am amazed by the fairly even distribution of the signs! As a researcher this make me wonder about other statistics of tarot readers, such as age, education, gender, type of profession, and their views on different topics like politics and such. That would make for an interesting analyses!

tried wading through a referenced page to find more data, but gave up. But I expect the slightly higher figures for Libra and Virgo will correspond to higher birth numbers for those months. Probably nine months after mommys and daddys have been snuggling up in winter. Wonder how the southern hemisphere data compares?
Anyhow, I thought most serious astrologers consider the sun sign too broad to mean much anyhow?

I'd suggest that the broad sun signs just aren't an accurate enough indicator of this type of character. Plus, all kinds of people are interested in Tarot anyway - some see it as a psychological tool, some spiritual, there are many ways of looking at it. I think its a mistake to look at one single attribute of a person in isolation. My sun sign might predispose me to be a certain way, but my birth order might modify that, enhancing or diminishing the characteristic.

I'm finding it fascinating that Leo, a Fire sign, is holding the lead with 12.55% of the vote.
Virgo, an Earth sign, signs in (pardon the pun) at second with 10.27% of the vote.
And Pisces, a Water sign, rounds the trio off with 9.13% of the vote.
Based on Sun signs alone, you'd think that Pisces or Scorpio (7.98%) would be in the top two. That Virgo's second doesn't really surprise me... much... considering that Virgo is the mutable sign of Earth and (from my experience) has a tendency to analyze everything--- tarot included.
It just goes to show that there's more to Astrology than the daily horoscope in the paper. :)
