The deck is the: "Baroque Bohemian Cats Kit" ...
...this deck comes with the matching Book.

"This is the 1st edition kit: box with the slide cover,
book and deck with floral borders. It is unsealed but unshuffled. There is a
title card and a Hermes card. There is an extra Queen of Coins/Pentacles card.
The book does appear to have been read and has a bump in the lower spine edge."

This DECK GIVEAWAY will be open until October 30th at midnight PST (Calif. time)
On October 31th, at noon, I will pull a card to select the "winner"...:)

I will be using my Kipling West "Halloween Tarot" deck and will shuffle several times,
cut 3 times, then spread them all out into a "horseshoe" spread and pull that lucky card.

Looking at that serene puss sticking her hand into the creature's mouth makes me think she is saying, "Now you know that I've told you time and again that is not for eating. Spit it out. No? This cat carries a pot with a small apple tree in it. I like to think he is the gardener/caretaker of the estate shown in the background. The seedling has been tended carefully and is now ready to be transplanted outside. Imagine what the young tree feels . . . afraid of danger? excited that it is about to be a Big Tree? worried that it might not produce enough fruit and be removed?

This golden chariot is incredible! The absence of living animals pulling it makes me stop and think about how the things we treasure and/or hoard can become inexorable forces! But, the way the cat holds the cherub, who is holding the pierced heart, offers me a safe place to let loose and allow that pain to be expressed and flow. Oh, this card reminds me of Geppetto from Pinocchio! He is such a craftsman. Pouring skill and love and a soul into each of his marionettes. The colors in this card remind me of a Creamsicle! Or pouring orange soda over vanilla ice cream. On the other hand, orange is a color that can bring up opposite feelings in people. It can be upbeat and vibrant like the beds of marigolds. Or it can be quite uneasy, like waiting for the "real" person or opinion to be let out. Orange is the color of the Sacral/2nd chakra. A sword can pierce straight through or divide in two. The scales make an unequal comparison obvious, but they are also a measuring tool that can allow us to be sure of exactly how much needs to be added.

Here we see a very alert cat (an Oriental breed) and she is walking near the
edge of the water with her back to the water as if she might have turned
around to see what is lurking behind her. You can see that her ears are
in an alert mode and standing straight up so she can pick up any strange
sounds in the area. She may have decided to get back home and she is
trying to hurry, but two dogs are in the middle of her path and are slowing
down her pace. The dogs are acting strange and it is as if the moon has
affected their mood. The night sky looks cloudy and darkness has set in and
the moon is casting shadows in her world. A wise owl is riding along on her
left shoulder in anticipation of warning Miss Oriental cat of any possible
lurking night dangers. And what is that naked man doing taking a swim on
such a bleak cold night? ...or is she just seeing things that are not there?
It is a very strange :bugeyed: night’s walk for Miss kitty.

floral decorations (to the left behind her)…and she has turned to see where
she might be able to put up some more flowers. She wants the event to
have an aroma that will sweeten and excite the air for all of the other cats
that have been invited to this fun celebration. The other cat, behind her, is
helping her plan the festivities that all will enjoy together. It will be a happy,
fun time for all and one that is well deserved.

are left. She realizes that she has power in bringing harmony to herself as
well as to others. She refuses to let anything spoil her day or her life.
If something in life is hard to deal with, she just grabs her silver and gold

Well, this kitty (breed is Persian) has finally had it! Enough is enough!

I'm not sure if they are both visiting this open-air flower shop, or if the young girl cat works there. But, the young boy cat presents his choice to her. Most of the other pots are arrangements made of many different types in one. His gift has a single kind- what appears to be yellow roses. And yet, his look like so much more because of the simple, unbusy message they carry. I hope our young lady realizes the value of his gift and doesn't look down on his choice.

This golden chariot is incredible! The absence of living animals pulling it makes me stop and think about how the things we treasure and/or hoard can become inexorable forces! Now, where I’m from, cats normally chase pigeons, if they get the chance…
...we all know its in their nature.

However, Mr. European Tabby cat just sits off by himself and doesn’t want
to be bothered, in the least, not even by a tempting bird! What?
The truth is, he couldn't care less!

He is so unhappy with his present state of affairs, that nothing pleases
and nothing is appealing or interests him anymore!

He is sighing out of boredom because he has “been there, done that,” a true
case of doldrums. He is frustrated and frozen in time, as he sits and contemplates
"why” he feels that there is just something missing in his life.

“Is this all there is?” he moans.

He is so fixated on his disappointment and dissatisfaction that he doesn’t
even care to investigate what wonderful things might be lurking inside of
those four cups right in front of his face! Let’s hope that Mr. European Tabby
cat can pull his pitiful act together…and get on with life!

Hopefully he will soon be able to change his pitiful boring attitude and get
back to the chasing of pigeons while he is still young enough to enjoy it!

Here is another cat that feels there is something missing in her life!
Mrs. British shorthair cat has decided to turn her back on her present situation,

This is so sad. This sweet little European cat has been totally defeated!
She has just suffered painful loss and total ruination.

She felt overcome by gossip and being stabbed in the back by some of her friends;
the ones she thought were her friends! She realized that her problems were
just too insurmountable and she could no longer fight back.

The good news is that the worst has already happened to her and she is in
the process of recovering and this negative cycle is now ending!!!

She will need to build up her mental, as well as, her physical stamina.
In order to become strong again, she will need to avoid negative thinking and
especially avoid negative people in the future.

This European Tabby may have to come up with some quick ideas in order to
keep all the cats in line that work under his charge. He doesn’t want to fail in
his management job because he doesn’t want to go back to being a regular “mouser.”

He is in charge of many different cat workers. There are the cats that work
the kitchen (keeping out the mice!). Then there are the cats that guard the grounds.
Also he is in charge of the more sophisticated indoor pet cats that need to
be extra cute and squeaky clean. (LOL)

Mr. European Tabby is a hard working multi-tasker and he tries to keep things
organized for his wealthy owner. But sometimes, “juggling” all these cats causes
him problems because they lay around and neglect their mice guard duties.

So, he finds himself running around frantically, from cat to cat, trying to keep
his crew running smoothly. He wants to keep his cushy job because he likes
all the perks he gets from his boss and he is not ready to give them up!

Go back to being a common mouser…NO WAY!!!... he will continue to juggle
all his unruly cats workers instead!

Oh oh…this could be positive or this could be negative! There is definitely
something new and powerful going on for Miss Black European cat…one way or the other!

She has just seen the signs of the gathering “ominous, foreboding clouds”
beyond the huge magnificent arched entranceway she just came through.

But what really has her undivided attention at the moment, is the regal two
edged sword that she sees held by the paw of the carved stone lion statue
that stands on guard nearby.

She knows that a sword, such as this one, can swing down! …cutting to the quick

But she also knows, that it can swing "up" and cut through the air with swift intent,
bringing lightening like action into her life…along with brilliant new ideas.

The cat’s gone and spilt the milk now! Meow…Ouch that hurt!
Our black European cat is so angry and upset because he can pick up the
empty cups, but he can’t put back in the kitty milk!

He has just gone though a terrible loss and is suffering immensely. He just
can’t understand WHY he was left behind? This was so unkind…

He is depressed and disappointed…so much so, that he doesn’t notice
the full, two remaining cups…one on each side of the entrance in the
background. He is still hanging on to his sadness and regret but that won’t
bring his loss back…time to move on…time to notice that is there is still
something to live for. If only he could realize and accept that!

Mr. Oriental cat knows how to stay “on top” of his game!

He is protecting HIS “mouse hunting area”…and NO WAY will anyone
overcome him…not even for one second!

He has the definite advantage here…his ideas and ways of doing things
are superior to all the other cats below him…but they are sure trying to
overtake him. Not only can they NOT outdo him, but there is also a wrought
iron barrier gate protecting him. (meaning to me, that his will is as strong as
“iron”…and it cannot be broken). So this is one tough Oriental cat.

By the way, this doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have tons of competition
in his mouse hunting adventures…because you can see that he does.

Everyone else thinks their ideas for hunting mice are much better than
his, so they want to try to knock him off of his hill…but it won’t happen.

Mr. European Tabby cat is dreamily looking up at the marvelous ceiling mural
in this elegant room. It is as if the scene on the mural is “coming alive” within
him. This fantasy experience has distracted him away, for the moment, from
the seven golden cups, with all their lure, that are on display in front of him.

His mind is wandering and he is caught up in his ceiling daydream. It is unclear
whether he will actually turn his attention back to the choices held within each cup.

One thing for sure is that cats don’t deliberately drink booze, take drugs, or
even concern themselves with the confused choices of human desires…

However, even though the scene "feels" like it's moving, the lion isn't a living animal. Some of his glory rests on things created or given to him by others.

This is the card I get drawn to in most decks! The boat is traveling in daylight with a clear sky. The 4 swords 'weight' the forward motion and direction of the boat, with the 2 swords trailing in the rear. The lady cat wears a vivid teal colored cloak. It makes me think of the colors seen in chrysocolla and ajoite, both of which have associated properties that help with the circumstances represented by this scene.

Our cat's blue coat speaks of wisdom. He has gathered 5 swords, but 2 are left behind him. I wonder if he is preparing the field for a duel. Perhaps the 5 he is taking away have been selected as not up to standard. The gazebo in the background suggests a place of rest/retreat for if the weather turns.

When I look up what the main interpretations say, it is nothing like what I feel from this particular card. They say this card is about a thief. If that is the case, then is our cat making sure that the opponent has a faulty sword? Cheating and sneaking make the blood boil! Don't let them make you look like the fool/problem.

This is my son! I often see him as the Knight of Cups. He has been through a major upheaval in his love life. (His fiance broke their engagement.) He has been trying to handle it well but up until recently has been a real mess. Now he is trying to prove he is doing well. He invites several girls over to dinner at the same time and will cook elaborate meals for them. He wants approval. He is working hard to better himself and show his good side to people.

I look at this Knight, see his finery, the bloom at his neck, and his cup of emotion and I see him showing his best side. His is saying, "I am a romantic, I am a lover, I am a someone you want to get to know. Admire me.

Love it!
Funny, the day I picked this card Travis came over and my mother was here. He hadn't seen her for a few weeks so he talked her ear off telling her how great things are for him. Much of it was exagerated. Fits in with this card. Very interesting.

At first glance, I was thinking "Why on earth does this king sit when (to me) the Wands & Coins are outer/active?" then I remembered the throne being the symbol of authority: the Seat of Power. This card has a loneliness that seems to grow with the expanding hall of a bedroom. It really looks like the distance to the far end where the door should be is stretching! All the wall sconces are lit to try drive the darkness away. But, it really isn't working. Even the brandished sword for protection isn't aimed in the correct direction. She is playing at being strong & ready for anything.


This card has been hovering over me for a very long time. I do feel lonely even though there is no need for me to be. I have some wonderful friends in my life.
My husband discovered he had cancer a year ago last April. He is doing very well and to see him, you would never know he has cancer, but he is on his 3rd oral cancer medication and has had part of his kidney removed last year, a month later had cancer removed from his lungs and then last month had cancer removed from his throat.
Then there is the rest of the family that can't seem to pull their head out of their arse. Thats another story in itself.
We had to put our cat down 2 1/2 weeks ago and we had to find a new home for our bird (husband's breathing from the cancer). We will say goodbye to him on Sunday. I can understand why the lit wall sconces aren't driving out the darkness, there is just too much.

But this too shall pass.

This has got to be the cat with the fiercest expression. You can hear him hiss as he brandishes the sword against the perceived threat. I have no doubt that he will cut it to pieces. What I question is his judgement. Was the serpent an evil or threat that needed to be exterminated, or was it appearing in a warning capacity to keep him from taking the wrong street?

This card has been hovering over me for a very long time.
I do feel lonely even though there is no need for me to be. I have some
wonderful friends in my life.

My husband discovered he had cancer a year ago last April. He is doing very
well and to see him, you would never know he has cancer, but he is on his
3rd oral cancer medication and has had part of his kidney removed last year,
a month later had cancer removed from his lungs and then last month had
cancer removed from his throat.

Then there is the rest of the family that can't seem to pull their head out of
their arse. Thats another story in itself.
We had to put our cat down 2 1/2 weeks ago and we had to find a new
home for our bird (husband's breathing from the cancer). We will say
goodbye to him on Sunday. I can understand why the lit wall sconces aren't
driving out the darkness, there is just too much.

But this too shall pass.

The textures included in the elements of this card are just incredible! The cobblestone path could mesmerize me for hours, looking for shapes to appear. The exquisite parchment scroll complete with gold ribbon and seal hanging down. The embroidered trim on his ivory shirt and colorful sash.

And that lined cape is to die for! The outer layer is close to Cactus (Sep 19) and has the keyword Researcher. The inside layer is Baked Apple (Nov 12) which helps to soothe the intensity that drives him.

Seek out the best life has to offer. Be willing to be taught by all that presents itself.

I can't help but think of the 5 pip pattern on dice. 5 is the number of expansion, associated with Mercury and Jupiter.

The small round shield he carries has a 3D gilded lion's head on an orange background. His coat is close to Lily Green (Jul 4) which refers to going out into the world. Another emphasis on the blossoming concept of the 5. And quite stunning to see the match in assigned Playing Card Calendar value: Jack of Diamonds!

I feel a sense of a Great Commission to this card. I wish him well on his journey and great success in the tasks he has been given.

Here is how I am reading these cards in these positions (for my own situation):

Card 1 ~ PAST: Death card:
I just recently lost my husband, and have just been going through the
grieving process and feeling sad from the affects of his passing.
My life (as it once was) and my marriage has ended. In the past month,
I have gone through a transformation process.
(sometimes...the death card DOES mean "death")
...there is no fear in that card......as it is a beautiful "passing over" ...
...into our real home on the Other Side as an Eternal Spirit of the Light of Love.
Death IS a GIFT from our Creator...for a job well done...then we get to go HOME!
So I always find real BEAUTY in the Death card!:heart:



Card 2 ~ Present: World card: This is the card I received during the drawing
for the winner for our last giveaway contest (The Whimsical Tarot)...I had asked
my Michael (in the Spirit) to pick the winning card for me...and he picked the World card.
And then I received a message from this (from him) that he had put the world
at my feet...which he did!:heart::) ... and this is where I am at in my PRESENT journey...
...with the world at my feet...(thank you My Michael:heart: )



Card 3 ~ FUTURE: Queen of Imps card: (Queen of Wands): Ah Ha...the woman in control!!! :bugeyed:

My own take on the "7 of Pentacles"...

You are on the path of "profiting" with your investment or project...
BUT it isn't quite there YET!!! :bugeyed:...and if you give up...you will never realize
anything from all of your hard work...

If you stick with what you are doing right now, then you will succeed eventually...
but of course, you are wondering IF it will all be worth it in the end?
Of course, that is something that remains to be seen, based on the "quality"
of effort you have put into the situation!"

So, even though you may not think your efforts will pay off or that it
will be worth it when it is all over or finished...I would say it might be better
for you to just "hang in there"...till the end...and at least you should break even...
BUT..."IF" your efforts were strong enough, then you will do better than just breaking even.
...anyway...you are on the right path...so keep going :thumbsup:

It has arrived! The beautiful Baroque Bohemina Cats' Tarot cards and book, The Mystical Tarot book by Rosemary Ellen Guiley, and a card with a Baroque chandelier picture -- to bring me light in my darkness :) -- from cardlady22 and tarotlyn. How wonderful! I was trimming weeds in the ditch in from of the family florist shop and checked the mailbox there, and there it was, the post lady not knowing that my sister the florist is off to a line dance convention in Tampa. Surely this will advance my study of intuition.

I took a card out for Miss Kitty's approval -- interrupting her meditation under an azalea bush -- and she gave it a thorough sniff and said she would purr upon it :)
