Libra Full Moon

Minderwiz

The Full Moon in Libra has just occured at 8:36 GMT, 16th April. At the time of the full Moon Mercury was in Taurus and square to Neptune in Aquarius - a time when thoughts and ideas might well be influenced by fantasies and dreams rather than reality. Venus in Pisces was square to the Pluto/Saturn opposition in Sagittarius and Gemini respectively - this opposition is one of the dominant astrological events of the year, because these planets move only slowly. Squares from Venus are rarely stressful and it may well be that drawing on Venusian properties of balance, harmony and beauty will offest the stress of Pluto and Saturn.

Venus is also sextile to Mars in Capricorn. The drive of Mars can be used in a very constructive (Capricorn) way, especially in relationships with others - both romantic and non romantic.

The Jupiter Neptune opposition is also still with us and unlike the Pluto/Saturn opposition this one is applying, as Jupiter has recently turned direct. This aspect will reach perfection next month so watch out for big ideas, grand fantasies, and a real tendency for self deception on a large scale .

Saturn makes a close trine to the Full Moon and is therefore also sextile to the Sun. This gives an injection of realism, constructive approaches, and carefully directed drive to issues of the month. Responses are likely to be cautious, but self control and self discipline will usually see you through issues this month. Saturn is also in an extremely tight square to Venus - with Venus in Pisces where it is difficult to nail down any clear cut feelings it may be difficult to actually express feelings and affection. Also as Venus rules Taurus, it might also be difficult to deal with money and financial issues, especially if time (Saturn) is pressing).

Finally this is the First Full Moon after the Vernal Equinox and many treat this as the Paschal Moon - the Full Moon which signifies that the following Sunday will be Easter Day (which in this case it is). However the Paschal Full Moon is not actually and Astronomical (or Astrological) event but is determined by a set of tables derived from historical data. Often the first full Moon after the vernal equinox and the Paschal Full Moon coincide but it is not always the case.

Well what goes around comes around, so we must be moving in to a more happy state at some time. The Iraq conflict certainly seems to have fitted in to the mood of Saturn/Pluto and Juptier/Neptune - plenty of big ideas, power struggles, searches for hidden power, treasure deep under ground (oil) and Mars hovering in the background over the last few weeks.

However having had the bad, we must be moving on to the good, fingers crossed
