Hi, there boys and girls! How is everyone doing? We've had a few inquiries into the possibility of a Spring Five of Pentacles thread. Any interest out there?
I will be happy to coordinate one if we do, so I am posting here to see if there is sufficient interest. I will confess that since we've done so many of late, some of us may not have much in the way of possible Five/Pents goodies lying around. Still, there may be new folks who have not participated or others who have yet more treasures to exchange, so thought I'd ask.
Please post here if you would like to participate, or even if you're interested but would rather wait til later in the year.

Good question, kaleanna! Last year Grizabella and Faunabay coordinated some exchange threads called "Five of Pentacles Exchange". Since we are all going through tough economic times (hence Five of Pentacles) but a package exchange is always fun, why not go through our homes to find all those little unused doodads, jewelry, books, incense, candles, even sometimes a deck or an oracles, that we are not using and send it to a partner?
We had a very modest spending allowance ($5) so if you wanted to buy, say, some sparkly bats for the Halloween exchange you could. Otherwise all of the items were just things you already had. And we packed them in those $5/shipping flat rate boxes, so it had to fit in there.
It was lots of fun, but I will add that we did quite a few exchanges last year, so I'm guessing that lots of folks will want to wait for awhile before we do another one. That's why I posted this thread, to see if anyone were interested now or if they'd prefer to wait.
The other thing that made calling it '5 of pentacles' so perfect is that it makes you see the resources you have available even when things are pinched. I never feel quite so wealthy as I do when I realize how much I have to give away.
I am certain I can find sping-type stuff around the house, I'd join this one.

Oh, yay, looks like there is some interest! And I hear you guys, it does take a little time to put everything together. But we would want to put it so far out we all forget about it!
How does a month sound? One month from today happens to be Earth Day; that's kind of cool as it's a Pentacles exchange. How about we shoot for mailing on or before April 22? Let's say you can mail anytime that week, so April 19 - 24 and we could call it an Earth Day Five of Pentacles Exchange.
If that's OK with you guys, then I'll go ahead and post the official sign-up thread with all the little guidelines, caveats, etc. Sound like a plan?

receiving isn't bad either.
I just love seeing all the goodies everyone gets!

Hi, all. I'm still working out a few details and will post the "official" sign-up thread in a day or two. That said, I'll do my best to transfer the names of those of you that have already posted an interest here in this thread, but keep an eye on me and let me know if I lost anyone.
I will post the rules in that thread so that everyone knows the way we keep these exchanges Happy! :)
