What sort of a response do you get when other people find out that you read cards (aside of them asking for a reading)?
<shrug> It's never been much of an issue for me.

Do you readily volunteer info about your Tarot skills to people (other than friends)?
I don't see why I should have to. Does everyone I come into contact with other than my friends tell me the ins and outs of every interest or activity they're involved in?
It's like being gay. Once years ago I was working in a place for some time, and my boss found out I was gay. She came over and asked me why I hadn't told her. I showed my surprise, and asked her if she felt the need to tell me what gender preferences she had. I said my sexuality really wasn't an issue - if straight people didn't feel a need to tell everyone, why would I? And the same with Tarot - if people with other interests don't feel a need to tell me, why should I tell them?

Do you feel as though some people consider you to be 'airy fairy' (or similar... i.e. hocus pocus not much focus, new age hippy etc) or at least very unscientific/not to be taken seriously?
I dunno what goes on in other people's minds. I'm pretty earthy - most of the time I wear jeans and steel-capped workboots. I'm heavy, with a raucous sense of humour, and I have a loud laugh. I'm hardly airy-fairy, by anybody's standards.
If anyone (usually here, not in real life) tells me Tarot and science are in opposition, I remind them that one of the best readers in my circle of real-world friends is a physicist (a kind of specialist scientist), and two are atheists. Scientists like things that work. Tarot works. End of problem.

If this is the case, what kind of response (spoken or unspoken) do you have to their 'judgement' of you?
I think I just laugh at them. It only ever happens here, in any case <grin>.
