I just saw the most interesting deck! It's called Meeting the Self: Reflection Cards, by Shahastra. It comes with a little easel so you can set an individual card up for contemplation. Our local new age shop had a sample deck out for perusal, so I went through the cards and had a good look. It reminds me of the Soul Cards in that it is designed for intuitive reading based on the images. The colors are beautiful-- soft muted shades of orange, lavender, light green and fuschia on various dark backgrounds. A human form winds through the designs in various evocative poses. It's really lovely. Would be a good choice for people who find the soul cards too "shadowy." The artist lives in Ojai, just down the coast from us, and has a website for her deck. If you get a chance to examine these cards, be sure to take a look at them!
