Have a look at Janina Renee's "Tarot Spells" book, that may give some ideas 
All Spellwork, Magick & Healing requires the ability to focus intensely & visualise a desired outcome, to see it, feel it, even smell it as if it were done. I sometimes use Tarot in Spellwork I find the cards act as a very good focus for certain things .

In my experience, they can be used to bring about change, being used as a link to you or others.
I do not agree that the RW deck has any more power because a lot of people use that deck.
The only power the deck has is how well it serves as a link for you, and how much focus, energy and intent you put into achieving your goal.

I've been using Tarot Magic of many kinds since some time in the 1980s. There are many, many different ways of using Tarot in magic, and magic in Tarot.
