How can I best use an obsidian pyramid?

Well obsidian is a grounding stone so you could use it for that. It's also protective and since it's black it's good for absorbing negative energies.
I have an obsidian sphere and it's really good for scrying so maybe you could use your pyramid for scrying too.

thank you, scrying? I actually never thought that it could be used for that because of the shape. Will you please share with me more info on scrying?

I think you can scry in any reflective surface so I don't see why a pyramid would be a problem. I've known people who use quartz points for scrying but I like to use something black; either a black scrying mirror, a black bowl with water in it or my rainbow obsidian sphere.
I just gaze into it and go into a type of trance. I see images sort of floating above the water, mirror or sphere. At first it looked like clouds, smoke or maybe even ectoplasm but with practice it started to make shapes. I think everyone is different though, some people see images in their mind, others actually in the crystal, mirror or bowl and others (like me) see images floating on top of whatever it is they're using to scry with.
If you do a google search you'll find loads of information on the net.
