I have a question for those of you who have used my Shadowscapes and have requested a larger size. While I can't do anything about the size of the Shadowscapes deck (that's in Llewellyn's hands), I am thinking of starting a new project, possibly an oracle deck. While I have heard many people requesting "larger", -what- size exactly would you like to see? Just trying to gather some information so that I can propose this to a publisher at the start of the project.

How wonderful that you're considering another project!!!

If the oracle images are as detailed as your Shadowscapes, I'd make them at least 3.5 inches wide by 5.5 inches tall (or taller if your ratio is taller).

I agree with the size - with such detail the eye wants to see it all, and the smaller size doesn't do the art justice.

An oracle deck would be lovely. :D

Agreed here on the card size as well...

Any chance putting a bug in Llewellyn's ear that you're constantly hounded for a larger size Shadowscapes? LOL I'll hound you faithfully if you need, to be truthful about it! *grin*

(Just kidding. I promise not to hound you, except with my wallet LOL)

I'm not the person you should hound about the size as I can't do anything about it; except for future projects. But if you want to hound someone about the size of Shadowscapes, you can write to Llewellyn.

Hehe, done deal :) I'd love a large copy - I have the books, and of course there's your beautiful website, but neither would replace the ability to go through a deck and look really close and and.... :) Love this deck so much!

Your art is stunningly beautiful & my only complaint is the same - can't see the detail. I'm not one who likes large decks because of my arthritic hands, but this is an exception. Lovelovelove your work! Contact Llewellyn, huh...OK! And perhaps you could mention the responses here also.

If you are doing the art for a specific deck wouldn't it make sense to do the original art in card size?
I haven't seen your shadowscapes deck, but I've seen many comments that they 'can't see the card art like it was on your website', which I am guessing was much larger.

It must be that shrinkage that creates the problem, not your skill? So use your skill to enhance the end project. Seems that would speak more about your skills and consumer consideration than something on your website that no one will hold and use to read with.

I do see your point, AJ, and I agree with it to an extent....

.....but I have to mention I use her website on a daily basis......

(downloaded to my own computer, I'll admit. After all, if my internet goes out, I can still play with my cards!)
