Hi Folks
I have been trying to get into AT for hours. Every time I tried I got sent to a a site called Matrix Femdom????? I also got a message to say that the ISP was being shared by lots of other people??

Obviously I have just now managed to gain access again. Just thought I'd let you know as I contacted Solandia earlier this evening. I could get access to other bits of AT when I sometimes got access but not the forum, as I said it kept sending me to a porn site for some reason.

Yep, same for me. And when I accidentally typed .com instead of .net I got a purple page that says "We're making a Tarot forum. What would you like to see there?" or something like that and gives a hotmail address. I wonder how many others besides me type in .com by mistake when they're looking for AT.

At least you got reasonable site diversion. I got redirected to a PORNO Site.

Sheesh!! :bugeyed:

I wonder if Alex (of the Aisselle saga) was responsible, wishing to take revenge for being made a laughingstock!

Let's conjure a protection firewall so this doesn't happen again :|

EDIT: no, higher powers must be at work. He just wanted his 8 quid

The porn was the reasonable site diversion.

So far it's given me hours of amusement.

I was at work when I decided to log into the forum. Imagine my surprise when I saw a porn site ! Interesting for sure :) Thank goodness no one busted me ! I hope we're back on track.

The forum was down for a few hours earlier today. It wasn't actually hacked, fortunately, but the IP address was mistakenly shared by the web host - with a dominatrix website!

I hope the web hosting company will give you each a credit for this oversight!

this sometimes happens on our psychic circle site too--and often we find ourselves on a porn website instead of the psychic circle site. you can imagine when the other porn people see my name, the joking I get..........
CELTICNOODLE uh---I hate it when I get moved to their site. *sigh*

Speaking as an IT person, at where I work if it is a one time thing, we assume someone has mistyped and ignore it. If it is part of a pattern, then we will have a 'talk' with the culprit. It makes for interesting confessions, like the one girl that was looking for information on testicular cancer and ended up on a site that had that information as well as other recreational pursuits. })

Fortunately, I work for a very small control system software and design company. We are all programmers here and we don't have an IT department. My panic stemmed from the fact that my back is towards a row of windows that overlook a bay in the long hallway. There is usually light traffic in this hallway and everyone can see my back when they walk by. Can you imagine my embarassment if someone walking by would have seen a porn site, complete with a half naked woman, legs spread, holding a whip across 3 huge computer monitors ?!?! LOL !!! Dirty old lady would have been their first thought ! :smoker:

I worked for a local government agency and had to do research on medicinal marijuana for elderly patients. That set off all kinds of alarms! I finally wrote an official email stating the purpose and intent of all research and listed all websites visited. They were so afraid that some body would get ahold of the info that a county computer had been visiting "drug" sites!

I work at a college with mostly male students between the ages of 19 & 30 - I am sure that if I had been at work yesterday, this would have been a HUGE hit!!

Once upon a time I worked for a government agency. They were starting a new initiative aimed at teenagers, in which I was peripherally involved. There was to be a Big Meeting. They were setting up a website. We were to look at it before the meeting.

Sadly they neglected to tell us what they planned to call the site.

Several of us, all over the country, intuited that it would bear the name of the project.

FORTUNATELY a much senior person to me was standing behind me when I typed in the address we had assumed was the one.

FORTUNATELY, too, he was an IT whizz, and after he said, bugeyed, "What the **** did you do ??" he was able to clear my machine of anything evil. He was also prepared to confirm my story when I confessed to IT before I got banned from using the web (I needed it for the job.)

Did I mention I was in public health and it was a sexual health project....
