The dark green and red make me think it is bloodstone:

none of the pictures I have seen point to bloodstone and ther is not enough yellow to be Jasper or opal

It looks like what they call fancy jasper to me.

The amount of any given color will vary.

Are any of the spots clearly defined circles? Ocean orbicular jasper has the whole spectrum of colours, and can look very much like that but with more defined circles...

It's green jasper for sure (fancy jasper is another name when it is mixed with some color, and bloodstone is simply green jasper with red splotches). I discovered, to my delight, that my driveway is paved with it. :) Bored, and threw a hanful of driveway stones in the tumbler. Yellow, brown, and green jasper. How I wish I could tumble it ALL and then use it to repave. Wouldn't that be cool?

Could be unakite or jasper.
