To be honest it's really hard to tell, that's a lot of things it could be, sorry.

an agate....like those from lake superior....

i dont know lake superior agate has stripes and is more brown, my rock st solid mostly and yellow at the end

looks 'agatey', maybe sedimentaried or metamorphed with quartz and ore...

i have seen stones in bulk like that in a local hobby shop, that one reminds me of them...

Definitely looks like agate to me. Jasper does not have the layers, or the clear quartz looking areas like this rock. Looks like a great rock to help you discover deep unconscious layers within if you like things like that. Do you have Judy Hall's "Crystal Bible"? She has quite a few photos of various agates in there.
