1. Where am I now? Ylipappi (pope, hierophant)

This is a very static card, with a bearded man sitting on a raised seat. Two cats look at him, but their bodies are half turned away, facing the other cat. My first impression is that you might be stuck in a rut where you feel you know how to do whatever it is you're doing. Perhaps you're even an expert at it. But this card doesn't look as if growth or true interaction is happening. As if you haven't fully engaged with the cats, or come down off the pedestal to be fully present in the moment. It seems more a card of authority or power or static knowledge than one about living in the moment or being fully present in your life. A role rather than an authentic life.

2. What is keeping me here? 2 of pentacles

A woman pushes a cart along a path, a wedding veil on her head. On the cart appears an urn. Perhaps it's supposed to be a milk jug, but to me it looks like a funeral urn, as if it holds the ashes of something long past and gone. My first impression is that you are holding onto something old. It could be a memory, a person, a perceived failure. Whatever it is, it gets in the way of you seeing that the cat is behind you, hoping for your attention. But you can't see it because you're focused on pushing that urn of old baggage along your path.

3. How can I get moving? Maiailma (world)

This shows the woman on top of a huge boulder, holding a bouquet of flowers in one hand, her arms spread to the world. Her cart and urn are nowhere to be seen, and the cat faces her, along with her crow friend. The woman lifts one foot, as if to dance, or leap for joy.

My thoughts on this card is to push the cart away from you, let it go, park it somewhere else, not active in your life. Step up, step out, and shake your booty. It's time to let go of everything that isn't working for you and know that you deserve to live a happy, fullfilled life. You are (or can be) that woman in red, dancing atop a boulder, flowers in hand. Although you are still physically separated from the cat in this card, it's clear that the three of you (cat, crow and you) are engaged with each other. You form a perfect triangle. And you can choose to dance right off that boulder and into their midst.

I hope there's something of use in here. :)

We got major cards in the same places. I feel hardcore. And I think we generally had pretty much identical readings. Haha creeeepy...

Yeah, I was noticing that. Very cool! I didn't read your reading until after I did mine, not wanting to be influenced by your thoughts or cards. It'll be interesting to see how the querant feels about them, and how the third reading goes.

Did you use reversals?

GryffinSong

No. I don't use reversals at all. Tried them. Hated them. I'm an artist and it really irks me to see an image upside down. If someone hung one of my works upside-down on their wall I'd be peeved, to say the least. I figure if my intuition picks up a negative aspect of the card, I'll use it, without the need for a physical trigger. That's my theory anyway!!! LOL

I know plenty of people who use reversals happily. I'm not one of them. ;)

Just wondering, cause if you did but none showed up that'd be another note worthy note. I like reversals cause I'm an artist. I'm the kind that likes to switch it up. People in school used to joke and say I must be schizo or bipolar because in all our art shows I'd have something like someone checking his pulse in black and white charcoal next to a color pencil and ink smiling octopus... I like my cards to be flippy like that too.

LOL! I'm an artist so I don't use reversals. You're an artist so you do. Isn't life FASCINATING??? :) Yet another fun side note in a group reading situation. :)

Haha. It's also interesting to see how seemingly opposite people can tune in to the same thing and read it nearly the same thing when they don't know the source. It's like two musicians being given blank sheet music and coming up with the same chord progression with only a slightly altered melody. Best analogy I could come up with.

Hi there! I was the sitter for this round's readings. I'm really surprised at how spot on everyone was. I've definitely been given some very useful and practical advice, and I'm thankful for it :) Anyway, on to the feedback:

This is a relevant card in that I am in a bit of a static situation in my work life. It's not so much that I'm in a rut, but more that I know there's no room for movement right now and that there won't be for a long time. There will only be room for me to move around when I finish the classes and exams I need to take to be certified to move on. I do know what I'm doing, and yes, I'm good at it, but I'm not head over heels in love with it. It's something I can do and have a lot of experience with, but no, I don't feel like I'm really engaging myself in it. Time to get moving on finishing up the academic work I need to do and get myself up and out of there!

This card really, really struck home with me. It's practically screaming out my situation. It literally could not be any clearer. I'm in the process of planning a wedding (WEDDING VEIL) which has been, and continues to be, a very bittersweet experience for me. I lost my father almost five years ago and it's still really hard on me, even in daily life. Now that I'm planning a wedding, he's coming up more and more in my head (I wish he were here, I wish he could give me away, I wish he could see me on my wedding day...) and to slam the card's interpretation home, I have his URN in my living room. I lost my breath when I saw the image of that card (and thank you for providing it). It's hard to believe how spot on this card is. I won't say that memories of my father are getting in the way of planning my wedding, but it does make for a very delicate situation, emotionally speaking.

3. How can I get moving? Maiailma (world)

I'm happy that I got such a positive card. I really do need to get myself in gear, buckle down, and do what I need to to do put myself in a better situation--but in a positive and healthy way. This card feels like it's showing me what I can attain if I put my mind to it :)

Thank you for your reading, it was really very helpful!

You're very welcome, and I'm glad there was something in there for you. Hugs to you on the loss of your father. I lost my dad about two and a half years ago, and I can imagine the pain of not having him at my wedding (if I were getting married).

I had another thought while reading your feedback.

The woman on the boulder is holding a bouquet of flowers, as you will at your wedding. Perhaps the cat is your new husband and/or future family. And the crow on the left, which is obscured in shadow, is the memory of your father, blessing your future together.

Take care, and I hope you have a WONDERFUL wedding and marriage!!! :)

I'm sorry to here that you've also lost your father. Hugs right back to you!

That's a lovely take on the World card. I'll keep his blessing in mind when feeling down about his absence. I know he would have blessed our wedding, even though he only met my fiance once or twice. I just know that he would. Thank you again :)
