When the train rides these are the Rules:

Just look them over and feel free to ask if you have any questions. At the request of several people, I've included short and long versions of the guidelines.... if you do decide to join us, and you aren't clear about something, please take a moment to read the longer rules below the yellow soundbites. :D


SHORT RULES:
The Trade train is a fast, fun game that allows you to trade a deck you don't need for a deck you do by setting up a series of Stations at which Tarot decks are offered and chosen. :)
Each player is a "Station" we will visit on the trip for a set period of time, according to a randomly assigned order.
You may choose your deck at any time.
First player to choose a deck at a Station moves us to the next Station.
For this train, the Station order is determined by preassigned random order.
You will only offer when we reach your "Station."
Any kind of deck is fair game.
Riders may join the train during the ride (until the last 3 stations), but will not pick til the next offering/Station.
You must complete a trade to keep your chosen deck.
Everyone who trades a deck will pick a deck. It's a win/win.
Each player must have fun.
It is that easy. As others can attest, these trains are fun, hilarious, and exciting.

LONG RULES:
ITINERARY: From the sign up list of riders, we will generate a random order of Stations. This itinerary will determine the order in which you will post your decks to trade. But you can CHOOSE at any time. This itinerary will be posted at the top of the thread along with a record all of the completed trades...

SPEED OF THE TRAIN: We spend 24 hours maximum at each station (i.e. person listing decks) before moving on to the next station. If/when someone picks a deck, the next person/station can list as fast as they want. So you have to stay on your toes and in theory we could go through the whole train in an afternoon. You have a MAX of 12 hours to show at your station before we move on, you are slotted into the next available spot, so do not worry if you are late :)

OFFERING DECKS: You may list as many as you like, but but will only trade one. Everyone who trades a deck will get to choose a deck. Any type of deck is suitable: Majors-only, Pip decks, Oracles, Sets, along with full 78 card decks are welcome. You may change your decks as often and as fast as you like while the train is at your station. And remember, offering a better selection encourages every station to offer a better selection themselves to insure they'll place a deck. It's a win/win!

SELECTING A DECK: You can choose your deck at any time from any rider, but once you have chosen you may not choose again. If you choose a deck you must trade a deck to close your deal. This is a chance to expand our horizons for the cost of post.

NO TAKERS?: Feel free to tweak your offerings during the allotted hours of your station. If no one chooses any of your decks within the alotted hrs the train moves on to the next person/station below you on the itinerary. You will have a chance to list new trades later as when the list reaches the bottom it will go through a second time, starting at the top with the first person who has not had a deck picked from his list.

KEEPING IT FRESH / KEEPING IT NEW: Remember: the quality of each offering dictates the quality of every other trade... The train is only as snazzy as we make it. In order to keep the landscape surprising and to insure the train moves at a reasonable speed, please board the train ready to shake up your offerings. If there are no takers within the first 6 hours, consider changing your offerings. We encourage everyone to list at least 2 decks that are not repeats from the previous train. If a deck has not found a home on the previous train(s), its likely that people already own it or don't care to. If you list an offering identical to the previous train, and a trade is not made, we will move on after 12 hrs.

UNCOMPLETED TRADES: What If someone picks a deck, but the person that listed their choice fails to choose a deck for themselves? Unfortunately then the person that picked that deck would lose that deck. This sure will add some butterfly style excitement. At this point that person that lost their first choice would have a opportunity to re-choose in the second go-a-round.

FINISHING YOUR RIDE: After you have listed, traded away a deck, and accepted a deck you are off the train, but feel free to participate in the chatter. After you finish a trade please leave your decks posted for at least another 24 hrs so all those aboard can browse what they missed...

END OF THE LINE: No decks will be sent until all trades in the chain are complete or the train finishes two laps. This insures no one will be left out and also gives train members something to look forward to/worry about in the days ahead.

Caboose trades are welcome but can NOT be discussed during the actual trade, we call that the end game frenzy, well I do ;)

TALK: In-game chatter is highly encouraged!

YOU CAN'T LOSE!: You only give a deck if you get one. If after the second round you have not managed a trade you are off of the train, nothing lost or gained, unless you accepted a deck, you would lose that, And that train member would re-list.

JOINING THE TRAIN: You can sign up starting now. Also, anyone may join the Train at any time before the train reaches the THIRD TO LAST person of the FIRST ROUND. Then the train closes: no more tickets.

The internal workings for those who care: The itinerary of offerings will be randomized blindly. I've asked another rider to send me a mixed list of numbers equal to the number of people on the train.

Even more boring internal workings: With just 20 riders we have 1 048 576 combinations of deck combinations in all at just one deck. With a average of 3 or 4 decks being listed each the number is huge. To be in matched pairs takes it to 190 opportunities. SO with just 20 players we have collectively 190 opportunities to make a trade, imagine the numbers as we add cars to this train...


THE PUB IS A PUBLIC HOUSE, EVERYONE IS WELCOME, AND WILL BE GREETED AND MADE AT HOME. :)

He gets up pretty early - left over from work when he had to be at the base at 0630. He is still working outside everyday, so he is pretty tuckered out. Lawn Mowing didn't happen - 2 lawn mowers- one won't run and the other won't cut! LOL But he did lots on the boats today.

I did garden work. Using your advice, I decided to to touch the tree BEFORE I got started in the hopes that it would help my hands. Funny thing - As soon as I put my hands on the tree, I felt a "click" and it was just awesome. Worked for 3 hours and NO HAND PAIN!! YAYAYAYA.

My feet hurt though. But I can live with that.

Not whacko at all! :) And really, it was quite startling this time when I touched the tree. It was a "click" and then I just felt all good and nice all over. It is a hazelnut tree that I planted 7 years ago.

I just dug a little hole, and popped a hazelnut in and now I have a tree. how cool is that? Our property is covered with baby trees. Little baby douglas fir and western hemlock. I am forever transplanting them from places they shouldn't be - like in the middle of the radishes.

Yep! And the other essay is written and referenced and has a bibliography, just need to do some more work on it later! Exam is all planning, just need to remember some dates, and probably write it so I can see if I have the right amount of info. (they gave us the questions a week before the exam)

Well it's good - if you're a thwarted librarian LOL
I used to have various catagories of decks on different sheets, and so forth. But I decided that it would be easier for me (fairly techniaclly challenged, can't use a proper database) that it would be easier if they were all on one sheet, but with more catagories so I could sort them to view as I wished.
So black and white, or circular, or oracle and so forth.

As I've added catagories, I can't just do a straight cut and paste of lines, I'm having to go through it line by line, adding in info which I hadn't noted first time round.

Sad that I'm having such fun really! :)
But I have quite a few decks, and it's taking a while. And then I moved a whole chunk to a new cupboard yesterday, to divide tarots and oracles, and there's still a bit of upheaval mess, you know?

But it is good to take them all out and enjoy them, and it means I could judge whether I wanted to part with any.

It is good to go through your decks every now and then. I've divided my decks into two categories now. Downstairs I have my mass market decks which would be easy to replace and upstairs are my small publishers/OOP/HTF ones.

I rediscovered the LS Manga this way - I had been thinking of moving it on but did a reading with it this morning and decided I do actually quite like it. :)

That's the thing isn't it - it's about loving what you've got. I don't read with all of mine (although I think I could, at a bash) but you've got to love them for some or other reason to keep them.

I'm just looking at Maddoni Tarot - and it so reminds me of a kids cartoon we used here called Crystal Tips and Alister - I'll go see if I can find any pictures of the cartoon

I think that is important - I'd rather have a smaller collection but where I love every deck than a huge one where I hated some. I'm not a completionist. :)

I'm debating whether or not to try Shadowscapes again. I bought it because I absolutely love the images on Stephanie's site. In my hand though the images seemed so small I just felt disappointed. Sold it on but now am thinking of giving it another try...

I think Shadowscape is a wonderful deck to read with. It puts the reader at ease with its gentle imagery and symbol. I read with it a lot, and my sitters seem to really like the deck.

Flaxen -- when you first get it, it's a HUGE letdown, like you noticed. I mean, if you were anything like me you spent MONTHS (perhaps years) just pouring over the pictures on the web site, falling in love and getting to know the details...

But lets face it, cardstock just can't have that luminosity that the computer screen gives. Add to that the MUCH smaller size and it's a recipe for disaster...

However, if you work through that initial disappointment, you come out the other side with a real friend.... :)

xYeah, I don't wanna do TOO much. The vinegar seems to have helped a bit. I may keep up with that. I'm also cooling down the water temp...

Yes - wash as little as possible, as gently as possible. I get psoriasis of the scalp intermittently, and have some gungy medicated prescription stuff for it but usually I just wash with a very gentle shampoo. I use Dove Daily Care, but not every day - every other day, and rinse like billy-oh.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and recommend you don't use ANY shampoo... :bugeyed: I know I know...

I last used shampoo about 5 yrs ago. Well, okay, when I get a perm I end up having it shampooed by the salon. But at home? Shampoo shall NOT touch my hair...

Atopic dermatitis (A lovely family trait - skin that cant tolerate any harsh anything...I also don't use soap on my face or other more sensitive skin...lol Otherwise I end up with rashy, bleeding scalp/skin) convinced me it was just a lot more comfortable to go without shampoo. Instead I do what is called a "conditioner only" wash...

Trust me, no one knows I don't shampoo unless I tell them :D (Right, Blue? :P)

No sore throats or trouble swallowing. This is mainly due to drainage from the sinuses. They don't like to blow their noses or use sprays, so things get backed up. :rolleyes:

I have no plans. :D I'm not much of a plan maker actually. In the past, when Emm and I were working with the Pearls deck, we would choose a card, brainstorm on it, and then if we felt we were up for it, we'd do a second card. It was always sort of spontaneous.

What I'd like to do is to see if there are certain cards that more than one of us have questions about. I'd like to work on those cards that we seem to need the most help with.

Although it's supposed to cool down for tomorrow and Thursday (between 19.4c - 21c) then go back up but not THIS hot (more normal I'd say for the remaining of the 10 day forecast - assuming it doesn't shoot up again in spite of the forecast! LOL (21c - 25c)

August is usually our hot months -- with a couple weeks of temps like today and a couple with temps up to 38c. Maybe even the end of July ya know. But I'm worried it'll be from June through August now....too much!! LOL

Hi Yira! How are you? I'm feeling soo good today. It was the first day I've been able to sleep in since Christmas Vacation. No matter that my eyes slammed open at 7am, it's still an hour and a half more sleep than I usually get. I do so love it when the kids are on summer vacation.

Kevin had gone back to work. And wouldn't you know it that after being home for 6 months without incidence, TWO HOURS after he left a storm came through and knocked a HUGE limb down to block the driveway. I couldn't chainsaw it and tote it off because it was still attached to the tree at the top.

I was trying to fivure out how to deal with it but when I came home from work two days later it was gone! Come to find out that the folks 4 or 5 houses down have a tree service. They saw it, and took care of it, leaving no note, just an anonymous good deed.

I asked the guy next door, and he told me who had done it for me, so this morning I baked 3 batches of cookies,,chocolate chip, oatmeal-raisin, and peanut butter and I took them over, introduced myself, and thanked them.

And I ran :O to Wal-Mart this morning and picked up season three of True Blood on DVD. Trisha and I have made it our excuse for mother-daughter nights,,we love the show!

Normally, we would have stopped with the pellet stove around the end of March! This is just ridiculous. Even the stores stop carrying pellets in April, but this year, they have been keeping them in stock.

Yes..think happy thoughts at work - for better or worse, I am in it for the long haul. That is my decision. Students are important and I want to help them navigate these changes successfully.

With the nice plastic coating and good lamination card makers bring these days, you'll never be able to get the tea-dunked look through time and use, unless it's like 80 years of obsessive shuffling or something. :D But then again why take the chance of ruining your deck right?

Yira - that is my old Mythic - it is, what? 20+ years old now? It has been chewed by cat, stepped on, drenched in mocha espresso and once stank of spoilt milk. I have a new one (it is 10 years old now), but I quit using it as soon as the milk smell faded away (about 5 years ago).

My ex was violently opposed to that deck and I used to hide it (1990). A few years later, I did readings / meditations to help with my break up from my violent ex in 1994. I did readings about the guy who later became my husband. I did readings to help find sense in his death years later. It was such an integral part of the most tumultuous times of my life. Now, I just take it out once in a while and shuffle with it. When I do a reading for some one else using it, I use the "new" copy.

I think I was involved in only one or two study groups. I hate to start something I'm not sure I'm going to finish. But I had a great time with them. I especially remember the group for the Touchstone Tarot. I got a lot out of it.

I've kind of fallen in love all over again with ALL of my decks at once. :) The winter found me rather single-minded, and although I read, it was only with the BG. But in the last two months, I've been delighted to look over the decks I've had in purgatory. Poor things, they are so fine and yet I've neglected them all so terribly. It seems like every day now, I hanker for a different deck. It feels good reading with the new and different, as well as the familiar.

And nope, no Kraken. I have been a pillar of self-restraint.

I am getting too many awesome decks - I want to spend time with them all!! I need to read more often - really should open a thread for feedback.

I spend 1 week with each deck - just do daily 3 card draws. I change decks every Saturday. I have been doing really good - and one thing I noticed is that there are some decks (Celtic Tarots, RWS, Marseille) where I just can't wait for the week to end. And other decks (Dante, Grail, BBC, etc) where I just can't stand for the week to end! Some decks are so-so (Shadowscapes).

The so-so decks I need to take another look at later. The OMG I don't LIKE you decks get stuffed in their bags and shoved to the back. They don't even get *pretty* bags! Just old flannel bags. Made from rags.

Maybe you should consider trading those I-don't-like-you-so-I'm-putting-you-in-ugly-bags decks :D

My first deck was the Sharmann-Caselli tarot. Even my dog didn't like the deck. I've kept it for all these years and when I first got my dog Beanie, he went straight for my shelf and chewed up the cards good D:

I need to get that one back, actually. I liked the Sharman-Caselli. Did a reading with it for my mother-in-law and I saw her everytime I touched it after that. THink its been enough time since then.

I didn't know what I'd like when I first got decks when I was 16-17. So I got several. I got a regular and pocket RWS, Londa, Cagliostro and Cannon-Reed Witches. I've replaced all but the Londa. Still have my original pocket Rider.

I wuvs that deck and will never give it up. The other Rider, I was happy to pass on to a friend before she left for college several years ago. I hope she got on well with it.

Yeah...that's what I had to do...LOL She probably figured, I'm good at watching over her, and I don't mind diaper changes, so let the baby sleep while she got herself ready, and I'd be fine to take her over etc...

And really I am, I feed her breakfast etc. It's just hard because she doesn't use pajamas a lot so I didn't KNOW she wasn't getting her up early enough to change. And I would never have done that, because I never was good at leaving my kids elsewhere anyway, I always made sure they were completely full and clean diaper etc...LOL I didn't have family around me though.

But anyway I know now and I'll make sure she doesn't have another accident :D At least not from wetting through...she's a dainty eater but I'm clumsy, food doesn't always hit her MOUTH... :bugeyed:

I've never heard of this stuff...I usually use A&D ointment. Except the time when she was sick and had diarrhea and it was the burny kind -- I put Antibiotic ointment on LOL She looked just fine on her next diaper change :D

I'm just revising names and dates, and nubers of films, and where people where war photographers....... gotta love uni! I've split it up time-wise so I don't write too much (although you could write a book on even one of my parargraphs) and now, i'm just re-revising my exam plan, streamlining it...... wonderful what nervous energy does for you!

Yer, the Thoth seems to be mainly used by males... ah well, I'm male, so I'm sure I'll be fine haha. I can see why it's not for everyone, the art is very surreal. But I love it :)

I've been doing creative writing all my life, and want to become a writer, BUT I've never taken a creative writing course because I've read that the teachers stifle your unique voice and try to make you write the way they want you to. It's best just to do these things your own way, and develop a unique voice (in tarot, writing, or whatever your hobbies are). Some of my writings online by the way, would anyone be interested in the link... (it's fantasy stuff).

I can't tell you how many times I have heard other mothers say they found out that a friend had not told them their kids were exposed & then let them go to playgroups, day care anyway. And then there are the parents who rush their kids over to the Sicky House to get the exposure over & done with "on their timetable" :rolleyes:

Hey, I already posted this in The Wildlife that Surrounds Us, but I thought I'd share here too.

Early this morning, Hubby saw a genuine Raven. We are in the heart of Crow territory, so it was quite a surprise. It was a surprise to the local Magpies too, who didn't know what to think about the giant in their midst. Three of them tried to get together to bully the Raven, but he was not impressed. One beak-snap and they were gone.

We don't have ravens in my part of the UK. They are all to the west of us although they are gradually moving further east. I would love to see one in the wild. :) I'm hoping they make it here in the next few years.

LOL, my back yard (where the city can't see and complain :P) looks like this -- a path down the middle, and one on each side so the dogs can get through it (Libby and Molly are shorter) and the rest is about up to my waist... :D I think it looks awesome, and I love watching the wind blow through it -- but once Joe sends me pictures on how to adjust the lawn mower so it doesn't keep dying I suppose we'll have to cut it short :( That ought to be interesting...we may need to just go in with a weed eater - yard's not big enough for a hay mower :D :D I really didn't expect it to grow THIS much in just 2 weeks. I guess abundant rain, humidity, and heat means extreme growth! LOL (it's grown a good 1.5 - 2 ft in two weeks)

What's a weed-eater please? We obviously have a different word because I don't believe our grass grows any differently to yours :D

It's a long handled thingy with a motor (or an electrical cord) and on the end is a round disc, that spins stiff plastic line at very high speed and that cuts grass etc. It's usually used around houses etc to cut grass where your mower won't go. In my case it would still be used to go where my lawn mower won't go... :D :D That grass is TALL...and THICK... :bugeyed:

I have had to make an appt to see the doctor. My blood pressure has gone all low and I keep nearly fainting when I stand up. We have one of those machines and himself used it on me three times and got a very low reading each time. I am on medication for high blood pressure and I guess it needs adjusting now that I am slimmer and exercise a lot more. I'm pleased but can ill afford yet more time off work!

I think Jack could use a push too :D But Joe said, Mom you'll be doing it in a couple years when he's off on his own, better get one you can use... I have a bad shoulder and have weight restrictions and pushing a lawn mower for any length of time would wind me up in extreme pain :)

Of course it's a second-hand mower that Joe reconditioned, so who knows if it'll last THAT long..but it's the thought that counts! :D

Hey gang. Not sure if I was in this morning, but I had the day off - Emm had an 8am counselling appt, then picked up and deposited paycheck, then groceries.

I have a throbbing headache and am likely to pop away again momentarily. I'm praying this isn't a migrain coming. It has that sorta feel to it. Might just lay down wile I run these 2 loads of laundry.

Since we cut back Emm's Depakote, some of his compulsive behaviors are back. He's sucking the collar of his shirts again, so changing them several times a day. Makes lots of laundry.

I take it without complaint. He really isnt' aware he's doing it and he is not sucking on his hands. That was dreadful and I thought he'd need meds to clear up his skin before too long.

And hubby chewed his shins once. Vicious looking!

The riding mower can be dangerous too though. He burned his leg on the engine just before storms knocked out power for close to a week. That was fun trying to keep it clean/dressed with the well pump down.

Speaking of the post office, when I stopped in to mail an International flat-rate package yesterday, a lady came out of the back office to check what we had as we were standing. (It was about 4:25pm.) She was "helpfully" telling us we could do this online. I spoke up rather loudly when she got to me: I do not have a working printer. }) Quiet postal worker all through the rest of the line.

Yes - when I was little my grandma lived right next to the zoo and the peacocks regularly came visiting that group of houses. The noise was terrible! They scream and scream....

It really is an awful racket! Another loud one is the Guinea Fowl. Somebody's got loose and ended up in my back yard - under the bedroom window - on a very, very early Sunday morning. I thought something was getting murdered out there! Yikes!!

The first time I heard a cougar (mountain lion, panther, puma), I thought it was a woman screaming!

Yeah we get a lot of foxes giving it rocks not too far from us in the night. Strange noises.

One of the worst night noises is a female cat calling ... they just go on and on, and you know damn well that the next noise is two males facing off, and then the nuptuals will be celebrated very loudly outside your window!

Has anyone here dealt with chicken pox lately? I can't remember..are they just itchy, or do they get sick...I only remember the itch...

Just changed Elaina's diaper. She has...spots.... all over her legs and belly and sides. Not a LOT yet..but quite a few....

Here in the US, it's been added to the childhood schedule. Recommended after 12 months, so Elaina would not have had the shot yet?

I can't tell you how many times I have heard other mothers say they found out that a friend had not told them their kids were exposed & then let them go to playgroups, day care anyway. And then there are the parents who rush their kids over to the Sicky House to get the exposure over & done with "on their timetable" :rolleyes:

Yes - when I was little my grandma lived right next to the zoo and the peacocks regularly came visiting that group of houses. The noise was terrible! They scream and scream....

Now, an out of town shopping centre has a lot of wild water fowl as an attraction, but also has peacocks roaming free all round it. They scream too....

We took Emmett to the Bronx Zoo when he was a toddler. There were peacocks near the petting zoo. They were so loud, they terrified him and we never made it into the petting zoo area. Poor boy.

Hey all :) Talked to Joe again today -- he had to ask to borrow money and Krystal would pay me back :D Kids are amazing, not even where he is will keep him from that one!http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-laughing013.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php) I said yes, but unfortunately I did need to be paid back this time. Krystal actually said she wanted me to just absorb it...I got down to numbers and showed her my finances and ended with, you're better off than I am right now, and it's just not possible, I need it back this time. (GO ME! hehe) Hopefully knowing the numbers will convince her to quit trying, it's really draining to feel I have to constantly fend her off.

Joe also asked for a reading on a recurring nightmare he's having...I think I know what's behind it but I'll just blank my mind and let the cards speak. Hope it helps him... poor kid :( (It's only recurring in the theme being the same, not the details so I don't believe it's prophetic.)

We get to go see Joe Sunday again ♥ This time a 'contact' visit - we'll be sitting in the same room, etc. Looking forward to that!

Well, my Teacher does it out of her own home, so she doesn't do anything resembling an organized class. It's mostly one-on-one, but she has started to realize that her students can learn from each other. So she wants to organize some group events. But trying to get her students in the same place at the same time is worse than herding cats.

Yes, I bought a brand new pair of Fiskars that I only use for trimming decks, and a 5mm(I think) corner rounder(about $5.).

Have you read the threads on trimming decks? They have some great advice(lots of pics, too) and discuss using other techniques as well! It's kind of addictive! One of the first things I do when looking at a new deck is decide if I'll be trimming it or now! :laugh:

The only advice I have about trimming...

Trim the top & bottom (if you're gonna) 1st...this make the long sides less long. I wish I'd thought of this when I'd trimmed...LOL

Also...VERY important!!!! Make sure the images are the same size on ALL of the cards!!!!

Take breaks...this is not a rule I follow, but it's a GOOD one!

I have been watching hockey since the late 60's it is a family show here, so it was family time " Hockey night in Canada" that said as a adult I sort of lost interest, but my friends never did, so if I was out for a beer at a friends hockey was on. The puck is as easy to follow as 1.2.3 for me ;)

Every pub in Canada has hockey on all the time during hockey season. It is a big deal here.

Puck speed... I missed that. seriously at out amusement parks we have hockey boxes where you do slap shots to see your speed with radar!

119 mph is the fastest and average in the NHL (pro) is close to 100 mph, I am good for about 60 mph (very amateur) at the park..LOL!

Puck speed... I missed that. seriously at out amusement parks we have hockey boxes where you do slap shots to see your speed with radar!

119 mph is the fastest and average in the NHL (pro) is close to 100 mph, I am good for about 60 mph (very amateur) at the park..LOL!We have those for baseballs. I don't play them...I throw like a girl....:D

I still haven't decided whether I want to try to get both versions or not. I go back and forth on it...LOL

My camera walk was a mixed bag. The walk part was great, but the battery on my camera died after only 3 shots. But I did get a picture of the most unique bike rack I've ever seen, and a songbird that I was actually able to identify!

So earlier tonight, I decided to go for one of my "camera walks". But after a short time, the battery in my camera died, so I had to change my strategy. So I gave in to a craving for junk food, and walked into the neighborhood McDonalds. Since I'm a compulsive reader, I was reading the local "free daily" (A mini-newspaper) as I ate. I finished reading that in a few minutes, so I went back to the dinning room "freebie table". I found another local newspaper that I've read before and.....

I'm not kidding. I read the whole thing, in case it was some kind of joke. I know that the local Campus Newsletter likes to publish a gag-newspaper at the end of each school year. But from what I could see, this was the real deal. Which leaves the question, where did it come from? I mean, if it was a newspaper from Spokane, Washington, or some place in Montana, it wouldn't be too unusual. But Oklahoma isn't anywhere NEAR Alberta.

I was almost tempted to take it with me, but who am I to deprive someone else from the same "what the heck?" experience?

Also, trimming is easier than you think. It took me ages to pluck up the courage to trim my Fey tarot but it looks so much better. I love it like this and it was pretty painless. :)

Either! It's deck I've had for some years but not used that much. It has some beautiful cards and others which don't speak to me in the same way. A friend of mine regularly reads for me with this deck which is why I don't really feel the need to hold on to it.

I'm happy to release it to someone new. :) I've also got the book 'Tarot in the Spirit of Zen'. I'm happy to gift them to you, if you'd like them.

Either! It's deck I've had for some years but not used that much. It has some beautiful cards and others which don't speak to me in the same way. A friend of mine regularly reads for me with this deck which is why I don't really feel the need to hold on to it.

I'm happy to release it to someone new. :) I've also got the book 'Tarot in the Spirit of Zen'. I'm happy to gift them to you, if you'd like them.

I love roses, I have a few growing here - all scented. I buy from "David Austin Roses" if I ever get one (no more room now) and then I know they'll be exactly what I want.
I'm thinking of making moist rose pot pourri this year - but haven't got a crock big enough, trip to the charity shops I think

One of life's disappointmenst for me is bending to smell a most beautiful rose on a the bush and finding it has no smell :(

Yira this reminds me so much of Kevin,,he just lets the answering machine pick up, and screens his calls that way. Myself, I can hardly stand it,,,what if it's an emergency collect call and someone needs me? lol. Argh.

Actually, I have to answer this morning, I told a friend I'd carry him to Lowe's today. But if he doesn't call soon, I'm not going. I don't mind running favors at the beginning of the day, but as it progressses and I get busy , I'm loathe to lay it all down to run across town, pick someone up, and end up spending two or three hours running them around.

And I just layed cards out for myself today regarding getting out and about.

Hello everyone. Work today, and I'm so NOT ready. I am still feeling drained though I slept for several hours yesterday and slept through the night last night.

I expect I'll be fine once I get to the job. When its busy, I tend to do fine. The pace doesn't give me time to think about how tired I feel. :P

Yeah but, if it's a collect call the answering machine will go into that "You have a collect call from..." spiel at which time you can rush to the phone accept the call and say "whew, I got there on time after all!" (which isn't lying, you DID manage to get there before the collect call thingy hung up, and you did NOT claim that you weren't screening in the first place...lol)

However, with the cards drawn you've listed, I might be tempted to text the friend and say you're allergic to outside today, can we do this tomorrow instead... :D

a while ago I bought a deck from her called Celtic Messages. I already had the deck & book set, but it's circular, and I like it a lot, and her version came with colour-your-own mandalas - so I got it :)

Now that I'm doing my oh-so thorough excel listing, I see on the outside of the box it says "with linen bag" ???

No bag in there I think. Take quick look - nope no bag. But a cardboard insert thing, really hard to get out, you know the kind.
And underneath, a nice linen bag the right size for the cards, with a screen printed circular celtic knot type design on it.

I'm not sure it had ever been prised out before LOL
