edit:just figured out how the html works - I was using the wrong brackets. :)

Technically speaking, we use different coding. It's called BBC or BC code, can't remember which. What BBC coding does is "activates" the HTML coding the forum administer(s) allow to be used.

I know you answered your own question, but the nerd in me wanted to point this out, in case you run into these issues on another forum or something. Haha, also helps me refresh class material. (Taking web publishing this semester)
