url's to pinpoint exactly one post

How can I make a link using the post id, so that when people click it, it goes exactly to that post and not to the top of the page??

When I do a search and ask to show results as posts, then click on a link, it goes exactly to that post and to no other.

But if I copy that link, and paste it, when I click -- it goes to the top of the page, not to exactly that post.

What's the secret??

the secret is posting the postid in the url as well.

I think it should be like this:

So how do you find the post id?

Move your mouse over the Edit button of the post you want to refer to, and you'll see a URL in the status bar of your browser that includes the post id. ;)
