hey guys,
i'm new to tarot, though not new to the esoteric. i've been reading and been interested in mystical stuff for couple of years now, and never thought i could actually come across these cards. then all of sudden, four days ago an article about tarot found me. i opened it and left it open in my opera browser, because i had to hurry. probably it's going to sound kinda weird, but the thought of the article itself didn't leave me, although i just read the headline and couple of phrases in it. and now, after reading tons of articles of what, how, why i feel that this is something that has found me, though i haven't even expressed a will to be found. probably it's something i don't know yet.
glad to be here.
my name is reinis and i come from east-north europe

Welcome Reinis. YOu have found a great place to further explore tarot. THere is plenty here to read and learn and if you click the link at the top of the page, you will find more decks than you could imagine existed. :)

Take a browse through and see what appeals to you.

Happy exploring. Look forward to seeing you around the forum.

Yes there are loads of books as well. There is a forum for books. You might want to give a look over there. There should be a list of recommended ones.

And I'm sure there will be someone along to suggest a few. (I'm really bad with the books. I used to buy them, but never quite get around to reading them.)
When I started on tarot, there were no websites, no recommended reading lists.

It was just me and my Rider Waite. :)

Hi and welcome from another newbie. Don't buy until you are ready, look at some of the download books if you can only buy online, some of these look good. I'm sure others with more knowledge will offer advise as well.
