After reading through this forum I decided to order myself a Thoth deck for my birthday. I went for the Blue Box ISBN 0880794690 one. It had to be ordered in from the US, with an expected wait of 4 to 6 weeks, but I figured it was worth it.
So I waited, read this forum, read as much as I could about the Thoth deck, and then... an email arrived telling me the supplier no longer had it in stock because it was out of print! Argh! Now I have to go out and have a look around all the bookshops in town to see if anyone has it. Grrr.... I could have done that weeks ago.
O.K. that's all. Just needed to vent. Hopefully I'll be able to join you all in this forum in the not too distant future. :)

The blue box version and the one in the kits with Gerd Zigler's book is listed currently with the following information and ISBN:

The Crowley® Thoth Tarot was created by the famous occultist Aleister Crowley (1875-1947). Lady Frieda Harris (1877-1962) painted the cards. Although Lady Harris knew little about tarot and its symbolism, under the guidance of Crowley she transposed all subtilities of his ideas into her paintings. The Crowley® Thoth Tarot was first published in 1972, after the death of both Crowley and Lady Harris.

There may have been another reprinting edition and also an ISBN change...I just remember my original one with the best colors and gray borders came from AGMueller.
If you do want a smaller size, with gray borders, it is available also in kits. I hope you find your beautiful version of the Thoth.

I'd be happy with any non-green deck. It's just so frustrating having waited for weeks and then being told they can't supply it. I was so looking forward to it arriving.
I'm sure my deck will find me when it's ready.

cards to your hard drive.
