The Enchanted Map Oracle

I have just pick up this deck, I am really enjoying it. My question is that has anyone read the book "The Map" by Colette Baron-Reid, and recently also bought the Oracle cards? If so, do they go hand in hand?

I guess I'm just curious as to whether the book is a good companion to the deck, or is the deck a stand alone and a "push" to market the book as well?

The book does look very interesting, and I am leaning towards purchasing it.... looking for your opinions..... Thanks.

I have both. The book is a self help workbook. Not really my cup of tea. I could not get into it. It uses concepts illustrated by the deck, but is not about the deck. The deck is lovely and stands on its own, without a doubt.
