I have this book Tallarico and it is my favourite crystal book. Michael Gienger has a scientific background and excellent knowledge about rocks and minerals. The pictures are great too! Enjoy!!

Don't you just love those early Christmas Gifts?? I sure do!
You will have to let me know if this is the crystal book that I need ( as a practically clueless person wanting to learn more ).

It is an excellent book. If you are serious about learning about stones, I highly recommend it. It is the only book that contains a good deal of scientific information as well as metaphysical lore, as well as one of the few books with pictures of the stones.

Another one I'd recommend is "The Crystal Bible" by Judy Hall. There's something for next year's Christmas list!
