Any good souls out here to help me with vedic astrology?

This is my very first post on astrology forum. I am studying vedic astrology on my own for understanding.
Can someone tell me how to check for wealth aspects on your career(dasamsa) chart? I understand that we should check those 2nd,11th for income and gains. Is there anything important that I should check?

On my dasamsa chart : I have 2nd ruler saturn occupying cancer in 8th house. Have 11th ruler venus in aries 5th house. How will my income pattern be like? I heard somewhere that saturn in 8th would mean slow but steady income. But as saturn is not so comfortable in sign cancer what kind of an impact will it show on finances here? Any takes would be appreciated.

I wish I could give you a complete answer to your first post in Astrology, but I'm a Western Astrologer and quite weak when it comes to Jyotish. I've had a look round and there are quite a few websites and even a You Tube Video that look at interpretations of the Dasamsa chart:

Both in Western (especially Traditional Western and more especially Hellenistic Astrology) and Jyotish) Saturn in Cancer is Debilitated. The eighth house (by Whole Sign) does not aspect the Ascendant (Lagna?) so it's not placement that will contribute much.

From my cursory reading, given that this is a derived chart (from the Rasi or D-1) you will have to read both together, or at least look at planetary placements in both charts. You will also need to look at your dasha rulers. Jyotish recognises that careers change or will vary over time, so I'd guess that like Hellenistic Astrology (from which Jyotish branched) Time Lords are going to be important here (though these differ in Jyotish).

I wish I could be more helpful but if I start to go any further I'll probably do more harm than good.
