Shells

I am not sure what forum this would go in - Crystals & Herbs seems the likeliest place but please move it if I am wrong.

Do shells have any spiritual properties like gems and stones do? I know that amber has such properties, but it is not a stone, rather fossilized tree resin. I am curious to know about shells in this regard.

There is a book called 'The Healing Power of Seashells' by Daya Sarai Chocon which might be of interest to you. In it she describes the healing properties of various shells and how to do some healing layouts for headaches, opening and healing the heart, relaxation etc. Might be worth taking a look on Amazon to see if this is the sort of thing that you are looking for.
I have a feeling that the author makes a set of shell essences too.
