Trying to identify a stone

My friend got this stone from the metaphysical store by our house, she lost the little sticker label that was on it and we cant figure out what it is.

Its quite large, about the size of a fist. Its almost like the texture of wood, its pretty flakey, you get specs of it on your hand if you touch it. Its mostly black but it has green and blue sparkled specs on it.

Does anyone have any idea on what kind of stone this may be?

Maybe you could take it back to the store and ask the assistant or just pop in and check if they have more and take the name of it down. When I buy crystals andstones, I write on the bag, usually paper, just what the name is. I find alot of the crystals, like the pale quartz's, moonstone, milky quartz can look very similiar (well to my inexperienced eyes lol)

could it be peacock ore (also called chalcopyrite)? it's very sparkly and flakey. here is a link with a picture;

my pieces have a bit more green in them, then in the picture.

Zorya...the color is exactly like that but the stone texture looks like a piece of jagged wood.

I was thinking along the lines of peacock as well, mine looks like a sparkley piece of wood too.
