A question about new moons

Alta

Hi all, Ruby Red Slippers forwarded a copy of an astrological newsletter which she gets from Susan Miller of Astrology Zone. In part it said:
<<<<<<<<<<<<<
The new moon on March 20 will be quite special as well. It will fall in the entrepreneurial sign of Aries, signifying a time of adventuresome beginnings that require a measure of courage. Aries teaches us to pioneer and venture forth, even when we feel a little jittery. If you feel a little nervous about the steps you are about to take, it probably means that you care very much about getting it right-a good sign!

This new moon on March 20 will be remarkable for two reasons. First, it will be the first of two new moons that both fall in Aries. The first new moon will come, as said, on March 20 and the second will fall on April 19. It is exceedingly rare to find two new moons fall in the same sign in consecutive months.

This means that the part of your chart that holds Aries will be quite energized. To find out which area that is for you, check your March forecast, and take special note of what I say to you about the March 20 new moon. You are starting a cycle that can last up to a year, so it's a vital trend.

The second reason this new moon is special is that it will fall at zero degrees Aries, considered quite a forceful degree when it falls in one of the four cardinal signs. (The cardinal signs are Aries, Libra, Cancer and Capricorn, so indeed, this new moon does fit that description, being in Aries.) Fasten your seat belt! This will be a turbo-new moon on steroids.

Mars will be exceptionally friendly and that's a big plus, because it suggests that the pieces of your plan will click into place rapidly. Saturn will set up an obstacle however, so you have to be ready for that. Don't let that worry you-an obstacle will only light you to become even more determined to succeed. You should begin to see a fresh start almost as soon as that new moon appears.

To add even MORE oomph to this new moon, next month's new moon in Aries on April 19 will also be in a critical degree-29 degrees. Zero degrees marks the start of a sign, while 29 degrees marks its end. The 29th degree of any planet or astrological configuration is considered a degree of completion. This means that there is a good chance that something big will begin for you in late March. By April, your plans will shape up and near a final stage, all within a short time span.

Here is even more amazing news: the second new moon in Aries will arrive as a solar eclipse! Eclipses are the most powerful tools the universe uses to create massive, important changes in our lives.

Months that hold eclipses always bring a plethora of news, and that news often comes suddenly or feels surprising in some way. Events seem to move rapidly at eclipse time.

If you have been following eclipses in your monthly forecasts over the years, you know that eclipses are sometimes quite challenging, but the one on April 19 will be amazingly warm and friendly! Hooray! That's great news! Be sure to check into your forecast in April, because that will be a big month too.

My question. I was born in the 29th degree of Aries. What could this mean for me?
If it helps, April 19, 1949, 13:14, Belleville, Ontario, Canada.
Thanks, Marion

You've gotta watch those moons

It is exceedingly rare to find two new moons fall in the same sign in consecutive months.

It's even more rare to find two new moons in the same sign in non-consequtive months. Ha. Dave

Hum. Clearly I don't understand. If two new moons fall into the same sign, surely it is in non-consecutive months. But, then my astrology is pretty weak.

No explanation

Well, a good joke loses something if you have to explain it -- and a bad joke just shouldn't be commented on.

However, your original post made some nice observations. Dave.

Dave,

That'll teach you to try and be clever :) :)

Two new moons in the same sign occurs about every two and a half years, so whilst it is not common it isn't rare. However, the New Moon on zero Aries, IS rare and of high significance, as we have the Astrological (and natural) year beginning with a New Moon, the time of new beginnings. This is an occurance which we should take a real interest in.

For those interested in the mechanics and Dave's 'joke'

The Lunar Month (time between two New Moons) is 29.5 days. For a New Moon to occur twice in the same sign, the Sun must not have changed signs between the two New Moons - as the Sun moves at about one degree a day and each sign is 30 degrees long, the first New Moon will almost certainly be in the first degree of the sign and the second New Moon will almost certainly be in the last degree of the sign. Clearly the two New Moons will occur in consecutive months, such as March and April, but could never occur in non consecutive months such as March and May, )as the Sun will have changed signs).

The 1st Aries new moon falls into your 8th house and sextiles natal Jupiter. Deeper notions of generosity and sacrifice may be implied. The new moon may also energize you to greater exploration - you will have more enthusiam and optimism in regards to religious/spiritual pursuits of a more profound and material (as opposed to abstracted) nature.

Thanks isthmus. Much appreciated!

Marion,

The second New Moon is perhaps a little more interesting - firstly it occurs on your birthday, and just after your solar return. The New Moon will occur in your ninth House, dealing with foreign travel, personal and spirtual development and growth. Your ninth is ruled by Mars, your Sun ruler. Mars is transiting your tenth so its probable that you've put a lot of energy into your career or something which will enhance your social status. The New Moon should support this - its a good time to begin something which will allow you to combine both your spiritual and personal growth with your career.

The Sun is in exaltation in Aries and the New Moon is applying to a conjunction to natal Venus and a square to natal Jupiter - so you have aspects to both benefics. The New Moon is also separating from a trine to Saturn, so this should represent the onset of better times both over the coming month and probably the coming year.

Thanks Minderwiz, sounds like a great birthday present. I appreciate the reply very much. Marion
