Playing Cards

Hello all [emoji171]
After discussing with a couple of others on the deck forum I have been drawn to a skat deck (same as playing cards but older).
My question is, can someone please train me or point me in the direction of a good book on using playing cards as tarot? I understand how they will correspond with minor arcane but what about major arcana? How does it work without it?

You do not read playing cards as tarot, they have their own meanings. No majors required. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cartomancy

I was taught my my mother and grandmother how to read from playing cards 45 years ago. I learned to read from tarot about ten years ago. There are some similarities.
There are many online sites that have the meanings and how to read with playing cards.

Since I was taught by family, I never read a book on it, so I have none to recomend. I still do readings with playing cards, There is a deck of playing cards in just about in every home. Best of luck, it was a great background in learning tarot for me. I am sure it will work in reverse. ;)

Thank you, I suppose I've been so tunnel trained I never even thought of it as a separate practice [emoji6]
I will look into it further under cartomancy x

There's a small cozy playing card nook here in AT: http://tarotforum.net/forumdisplay.php?f=174 :D several different methoda have been mentioned in threads there. I've also heard a couple of people swear by the hedge witch "system".
