The Thrice-Great! w00t!

miss_apples

Isnt there an "other"....like divine guidence origin?

Umbrae

The poll should have multiple choices.

Some of the choices ‘link’ and should not stand alone.

As in Egyptian>Jewish>Cathar>Templar>whatever

Zephyros

I didn't vote, none of the options really define what I feel. Why categorise, label, number and package belief?

Mojo

You need a NONE choice.

Whoa...I thought you said once that it came from Gypsies...

So what is the origin?

I'm confused now...

Preferred or believed? :)

I prefer the Rom theory as it seems the most picturesque (and in Czech the Rom are part of the population). But do I BELIEVE that the Rom introduced Tarot? No I don't - there is simply no evidence (and plenty of evidence to the contrary).

firemaiden

I want a subcategory of templars called "tailleurs de pierre" - or stone masons compagnonages.

Who are the Essenes?

Another google question!

Could be the Estensi of Ferarra? One of my favorite myths, which would be 'none of the above' was spontaneous generation.

But not maggots from meat, more like cards from picture books without the binding...some people raided the prettiest pictures into a twisty tale and poems and then in those allegories, a myth was spun that they'd all hold hands and stay together through time...for the fun of it.

Or happily ever after.

Fun poll, thanks,

Cerulean Mari
