There is a Nightmare Before Christmas deck. It is fairly rare and usually goes for good money on Ebay.

I would LOVE the Pinup Girl Tarot!!!! (Bettie Page is the BOMB!!)

How about a tarot of modern history?

Inventions Tarot?

Dr. Seuss Tarot!!! (the book that goes with it would be sweet!!!)

"Will the fool take a fall, or will he end up standing tall?
But if he does not even try, he'll never have the answer why.
The journey of the fool you see, is every step of you and me."

Robert Crumb...is that the '70's "Keep on Truckin'" artist? I love him.

Since there is "The Goddess" deck that features different Goddesses as the majors, I would really really like to see a "God" deck that features different Gods as the majors! Such as Pan as the fool and Odin as the Emporer...that would be so cool!

I'm still partial to the Harry Potter idea. The deck that you might get at Diagon Alley for use in Divination class, not one that has Harry and the gang on it. Sigh Too bad I never got accepted to Hogwarts......

All good ideas...peace pixie!

I know there are several dog lover's decks out there (at least one by Menegazzi!) but they are becomming harder to find...

And I still don't know if the Nightmare Before Christmas deck (the Disney/ holiday haunted mansion promo) is actually a full deck or not...no one seems to have a real answer for me.

I heard a rumor that there was an Emily Strange Oracle deck (and magic 8 ball) in production...but I have not heard anything in a while.

And yeah...I would pay really good money for a Bettie Page tarot(especially if done by Olivia!)
Sigh...

I´d love to see Tarot decks, even only with Majors about:

Akira (Anime)
Spirited Away (More anime)
Shrek (That would be funny, isn't it?)
The Muppets
Tin Tin (lots of adventures, must not be difficult to gather a 78 card deck)

I definitely agree! On the Goddess front, there's already at least the:
· Goddess Oracle (Amy Sophia Marashinsky, Hrana Janto)
· Goddess Tarot (Kris Waldherr)
· Oracle of the Goddess (Amy Zerner, Monte Farber)
· Oracle of the Goddess (Anna Franklin, Paul Mason)
· Triple Goddess Tarot (Isha Lerner, Mara Friedman)

I've probably missed out quite a few less common Goddess decks, and there's still not a single God deck in sight :( :( :(

Personally, I'd really like it if a publisher came out with a God deck that could be used in conjunction with one of the existing Goddess decks (same cardstock, layout, style, and card back). That way you could either focus on one aspect of the Divine, or both at once.

Osvaldo Menegazzi's I Cani del Mondo is available at http://www.alidastore.com and http://www.tarotgarden.com.
Cardole Sedillot and Claude Trapet's Tarot du Chien is available at http://www.chapitre.com. Chapitre is an online bookstore based in France that specializes in rare books; they're definitely worth knowing about if you're in Europe.
Both the decks are quite pricey though :(

I would love to see a Discworld Tarot.

Granny Weatherwax as the High Priestess.
Carrot would be the Fool.
Nanny Ogg as Temperance.
Death as Himself.

Let's see... the Librarian as the Hermit, and maybe Agnes/Perdita as the Star. Angua on the Moon card. The Great A'tuin is the World.

Samual Vimes and his wife as the Emperor and Empress. Lord Vetinari as the Devil.

And I'd love to see a tarot based on the old Dark Shadows show.

The Nightmare before Christmas Tarot is a 26 card deck. They were only available at Disneyland (not Disneyworld) on October 3rd 2001 for the special event at the haunted mansion and there were only 800 decks produced. Don't know why 26..I can't figure that one out. It doesn't really matter though...I wouldn't read with a deck that was that collectible anyway! Maybe someone should make a full 78 card deck for those of us who actually do want to read with it!!

Um... I think mostly not being able to find enough images. If I had a book of his stuff with high-quality and scannable pictures it would help. (Also there's the pesky copyright issue, though it would be a fan/tribute deck only so I might get away with it.)

Hey if its not a problem for the Smurfs then why should we let that stop us.....The Smurfs for the majors....

What about H.R. Puffinstuff? You could add their characters to the deck just like the old Saturday line up....and the Banana splits could be the court cards...and fill it in with The Land of the Lost!

Solty Dog, I once saw on the web a description of a redneck 'tar-ote' reader doing a reading for his son using a redneck (instead of a 'yankee') deck. The author described a bunch of the majors (eg. 'the 16-wheeler mack truck' = chariot; 'buying the farm' = death) and even put together pictures for all the majors. Unforunately I can't seem to find the site again.

Oh yes, it is, I suspect it is going to fill it very nicely for me. I am hoping it is my dream deck. But I still want that whole....sleepy hollow thing lol. It's hard to put into exact words....

New England fantasia of ye olde Nymphic Reverie, with its profusion of Victorian music-boxes and china statuettes, mossy pillars and autumnal smoke, emerald glades and overgrown hedge mazes, octagonal stained-glass and sprawling architectural follies, musty libraries and caved-in armchairs, chestnut-flavored pipe-smoke and sepia daguerrotypes, corroded wicket-gates creaking in the dusk, Purcell arias and spineshanked volumes of Seneca and Lucretius, derelict greenhouses and rusted rooftop orreries locked onto ancient sidereal trajectories, melancholy oval portraiture and ethereal night-galleries of sandmen and gargoyles, enfountain'd statuary and fairy gold, country-house victuals and New England weathercocks, little stone bridges over burbling nighttime brooks, cone-hatted gnomic intruders and cross-dimensional bogeymen, talking mice and elemental Deities, nautilus-shells in wet earth, staghorn and faun's feet in brambly ditches, feuding warlocks' covens, Theosophic discussion-circles and Byzantine dynastic reincarnations, spellcraft and espionage, and the "thinning" of elven glades and will o' wisping groves.

How about the Tarot of Valdemar? Mercedes Lackey has created a pretty sizable literary universe, and those who read it usually have ALL the books, so it would be easy to tie each card to a person, place, or situation. She's also married to an artist (Larry Dixon) and has included Tarot imagery in a few of her other books.

Heck, I might start compiling a possible card list for kicks!

Following on from the Pin-up suggestion... I would love to see a man tarot... There's quite a few "saucy" decks out there but all of them place the focus on the female form and so on. I'm far more interested in the male form so this would be something I would buy without any hesitation. (If, of course, it was done tastefully and not done in a sleazy way... I'm hard to please I know!)
