I am just curious as to the extent of the psychic abilities that people here have. I have some limited abilities, although not as strong as I would like. I am first and formost an empath, I can sense and feel the emotions of people around me. It can sometime come in handy, but more often than not, I can only pick up an a select few. I also have some psychokinetic abilities, that is to say, I can sometime manipulate the energy fields around certain objects. This ability is very latent, and passive. I cannot contol it, although I am working on it. Sometimes, if I concentrate, ican cause a candle flame to flicker. And I can also cause street lamps to go on and off, but only passively. I also ave some precogniive abilities, but haven't begun to explore this yet. It isn't very prominent, but sometimes I will get a "flash" of something about to happen.
What abilities to you have??

I have prophetic dreams. I also pick up other peoples energies, which can be pretty exhausting if they have strong emotions. That's why I tend to keep a distance from most people.
Oh God that street lamp thing is sooo annoying, it happens to me constantly, turning off just as I go under then going back on again after I pass. I see ghosts sometimes, not very often and usually just fromthe corer of my eye, but I swear the other week while walking home my husand and I boths aw one straight on, he wasnt there, then suddenly he was walking in the opposite direction as we were, i screamed a little cause he scared me (thinking it was just a person) then yelled at my husand asking him why he didnt warn me he was coming, and my husbad said cause he scared me too, and we turned around to see him and he was gone. It was freaky. Also, like if I see a wreck on tv I can smell the blood and fire and stuff, dont know what that is :) Making candles flicker is something I can do sometimes, but not often. I also have the spiritual gift of what I thought was prophecy, only not predicting the future but getting messages directly from the divine to inspire and help people, but now I found that might be the gift of Wisdom, Im not really sure.

Oh, Liliana I can't think of a lovelier gift to have. Lucky you.
I am very much an empath too (occupational hazard for a psychologist!!). I can be very intuitive, I'm able to read people like a book. I don't know if this is something that was natural to me, or something I picked up in my uni degree (the former I think).
I am able to do silly little parlour tricks like guessing who is ringing on the phone etc.
Strangely, I find that since my last pregnancy (almost two years ago) my psychic abilities are really enhanced (but still not strong, I'm good at squashing them with scepticism). My mother and grandmother are both naturally talented at this, so I assume it's there somewhere for me too.

Hmmm. I guess I have a little bit of psychic ability. I can guess who is calling and who is at the door, sometimes. Mostly I just know the phone is for my little brother since his friends always call him and no one calls me. Cry. But I can I guess somewhat sense things. This was pretty strong recently, but the reason why is taken care of yay. It was making me feel very very uncomfortable. And sometimes I see things in the corner of my eyes. Those little things that look black and make you do a double take. Eck, they can get annoying sometimes. But that doesnt happen to me much anymore either. I guess I am not that strong but I think it would be kinda nice to be a little stronger in some areas or something. Do you guys know how to get stronger with different abilities?
I'm as psychic as a piece of toast! Really, I have no psychic ability at all, although I do have excellent intuition. I can't make things move like you guys talk about, or make electrical things turn off or explode... Bt I do sense the energies of other people, and can tell if something is gonna happen which will be surprising... (Eg- Someone coming up behind me to shout 'Boo'. I don't consciously think, ah, there's someone coming up behind me to shout 'Boo'... But I am never surprised, and realise afterwards that I could sense it.) Sensing other people's energies isn't really a big thing though, cuz I think everyone does this... You get home from work, and you can tell if your S.O has had a bad day, or a good day, etc... But I'm not sure if this is based on external signals more than intuition.

The first experience that I can remember was when I was 12. I was just waking up and the phone rang.
My mom answered but no one was there. It rang again and the thought, it's gramma, grandpa's dead. Come to find out, grandma was still trying to save him, that's why there was no one the phone the first time.
I've lived with and seen ghosts. Creeped me out at first. It was my first night at the new house and I could feel someone standing over me as I layed in bed. I told it how I felt and it went away. I was 16. We(my mom) saw him, we figured out that is was the guy who had the house built. There where alot of things that would happen at that house.
My father was very talented. He would dream things mostly. One of his sisters was the one that first showed me the cards. I think it's partly genetic and I have inherited it. I'm not as developed as I would like, but more developed that I think.. HUH?

Just the other day I was thinking, gosh..the front of the bar sure need to be painted, today it got painted. Today at the car wash I was thinking about one of my friends/coworker, how was she doing? as I pulled away I happened to see her washing her truck in the other stall. There are alot of premonitions that I just don't catch, I think too fast or something. But this kind of thing happens to me all the time. I understand them later. That's what I mean by more that I think. I get all the common stuff like who's calling before I pick up the phone, what song is comming next, but I can manipulate the music. I usually put the stereo on random selection, sometimes there is a particular song I want to hear, guess what comes on next...
I can feel the energy in the room, deja vu is quite common with me. Sometimes I can go back and remember the dream of what is unfolding before me.
I trip alot of people out. I don't advertise my ability, but I will say things just to be talking(remember, I don't always realize) and then something will happen and everyone JUST looks at me...It's kinda funny
Greetings all.
More and more often now, I dream about persons in a kinda 'crypted' way. When I wake, I go through the dream trying to analyze it. It turns/or has turned out without my knowing, the way I think it is. I'll illustrate with an example:
I dreamt about an old friend of mine (my best friends ex, not much contact anymore) two months ago; I came into his apartment. Inside I could see the dinner table, emptied for people. They had just eaten. I 'knew' that he had eaten almost all of the pea stew. End of sequence.
The strange, really strange, thing is that he H-A-T-E-S peas and especially pea stew! :P He can't even sit at a table where they serve peas. *Seriously* So, you see, this was very very strange.
Suddenly I just got a feeling that he had finished the 'peas' because he had ditched his girlfriend. I didn't know this at the time. Two weeks after the dream, my best friend and I discussed the dream, and I told her what I thought it meant. She got all excited and a bit nervous, 'cause she meant she'd heard about him getting single. So she called him... and got it confirmed.
The reason he ate peas, is because his relationship with the girl hadn't been a good one, and he was never really in love with her.
I told him about the dream a couple of weeks ago, and we discovered that I had the dream the same night he broke up with his girlfriend...
OK, this post is far too long already. ;)
But it's this kind of stuff I get, and it's only getting stronger. It scares me a little though... :(
I have always felt deep down that I have some psychic abilities. But at the same time was just telling myself that it was wishful thinking and that I didn't have any. I have now excepted that I may have them and I'm trying to work on bringing them out.
Last week I was driving over this mountain in West Virginia. I live in New York so it was the first time in my life I had driven over this mountain. But I sensed I had been there before and this brown car was about to pass me using the lane reserved for slower moving trucks. I looked in the rear view mirror and here comes this old brown car. It went right on by me in the outside lane.
Before it was like something would happen and then I would go; "Oh my god... I've seen this before, I've done this before..." Deja vu. Now I'm remembering things while the event is happening. A year ago that brown car would have been by me before I realized I had seen it before. Last week I knew it was behind me before I looked in the rear view mirror.
I feel like I'm actually dreaming about the event days, weeks, months... before it actually happens. It does scare me. But I'm learning to be open to it and not push it away. I also feel like I have other psychic abilities but I'm taking my time exploring them.

Well, I am definitely an empath too, I pick up stange vibes from
people alot, maybe thoughts. I was in a Doc's office the other
day and a man was staring at my nine year old, I could feel
sick thoughts from him, and I wanted to run to protect my son
I think I lost alot of mine as a child,because my parents were strict christians, and I felt evil everytime something happened.
At about 11, I could see Aura's, but only sometimes. I told some
people at church and they convinced me it was a trick of my mind
and or eyes, I was never able to see them again.
I also thought that I had a poltergist but I don't know if it was
me or a spirit. Things would fall off high shelves, a steel springed
door opened for me,when my arms were full, I would reach for
a straw and all of them flew out. I had dreams of people dying,the night before they did, and the night my Grandfather died
I stood with him and watched my Grandmother open her arms
wide, with such a sweet welcoming smile( how I had missed it )
then she said "Web". I asked my Mom,if my Grandma ever called
Grandpa,Web and she wondered how I knew that name because
it was a nickname she called him when they were young.
I don't think I have much anymore, not sure if I really want to,I
think that I would owe people more and I'm afraid they'd take more then I could stand. I keep my distance,now.

I can see the Astral creatures, sometimes. I am working on it. I also feel when a spirit is near, and if they are hostile or friendly. I have some uncontrollable mind reading capabilities. Also, prophetic dreams and flashes. I can also see people's auras. I also have connections to animals, and when something is wrong, I know.

i don't believe in limitations. i tell myself that i can do it all and then i do LOL however, i don't turn on lights or make things lift off the ground.....although i would like to snap my fingers and have all the housework done LOL

Oh Jade, three year olds are delightful for this kind of work. You pack a box, go off to make a cup of tea, and when you come back it's all emptied again.

i know things. that's really the best way to put it. i just have little bits of information floating around in my head that have no real right to be there. it's hard to sort out what i know because i've solid proof, and what i just know.
i've also been increasingly empathetic since the fall. i've found an amazing group of friends, who i think have helped me feel more comfortable and open. two of them are empaths, one of which is a healer by nature, and another friend sees colors... auras, but not only on people.
i really don't know the extent of my abilities, and doubt their existence way too much. i've been told by a few that i'm the best clairvoyant they've ever met, but i really don't know what that means, especially since i don't think i can do anything terribly special.

i too am an empath. which i developed as a child in a very dangerous home.
i have seen spirits very clearly, but only a few times that clear. usually it's a "corner of the eye" experience. i often feel little ghost/spirits of animals jumping on my bed. cute!
as a kid i know i saw a bunch of stuff, but i think i was really freaked out, so i sort of blocked it all out for a long time.
i also have prophetic dreams; i knew that my grandmother was dying, my friend was in a car accident, my mom's friend lost a parent, and that my sister was pregnant with a girl (she didn't find that out until 2 or 3 months later!)
recently i "felt" a few weird things: doing a past life reading for someone, i actually felt my throat being slit, cause tha's how they died.
also, i kept wanting to drive into the siderails on the freeway one day. i knew i didn't really want to, but i was compelled. i found out a few days later that on that same day a celebrety crashed his car during a race, right into the siderail.
i seem to get a lot of psychic stuff in my tarot readings. stuff about people when they were a kid, people in their family, physical ailments they have had.
i'd like to try psychometry, i haven't really attempted that yet.
and i would like to improve my sight with ghosts and such, i'm very interested in that whole aspect.
who else and what else?

I have phophetic dreams also, but they are always about me. Also when I am around someone, out of the blue, I will feel the need to close my eyes. And I can clearly see a "movie" (as I will put it). I have spoken up on it before to people when this happens, I'll describe what I'm seeing, and they have mostly responded that I'm seeing something from their childhood "something totally useless though!!!" There was this time I described a school auditorium where a puppet show was being held. There was a little boy behind the puppet box holding his puppet (which wasn't really a puppet, but a drawing on a paper plate that he was bobbing up and down, lots of pretty scribbly colors lol). I get lots of things like this... that I don't see any reason why I would be picking these type of things up, and I cannot find any use for them.
I also get strong feelings/notices when someone I REALLY don't want to talk to is going to contact me... phone/email ect. Usually a few days to a week, that person will contact me.
The streetlight thing also.... weird.
There are alot of spiders where I live, and when Gavin is having tummy time or sitting up in the living room, sometimes I get quick urges to pick him up (maybe twice to 3 times a month), and when this happens, there will be a spider really close by to him. These spiders aren't poisonous, but I hate them, so I think I have aquired a spider radar lol.
I have only had a few ghost or spirit experiences, the more stronger (or irritating) ones when I was pregnant. Where we use to live, a ghost or spirit turned on the kitchen faucet full blast, I blurted out some obscenities and it turned off. One day when I was sleeping in bed, I woke up to footsteps running back and forth from my bedroom down the hallway, my bedroom door was open and I was the only one home. It stopped when I yelled out "stop it!" I see things and movement in the corner of my eye, but thats it really.
I can also hear my dead dog Sidney occasionally and jingly sounds, like someone moving coins around in the house.
I am trying to work on actually SEEING things better.

I am so completely happy to finally see others that experience the 'street light thing'. I've been doing this for years and also have been known to turn out a television or two. I keep thinking that it is just coincidence that the light goes out/comes on when I pass under it, but my husband says he's never seen it happen to anyone else so very frequently. I'm *still* not totally convinced that it is something that I am doing; surely sometimes lights just flick on/off or go out. Anyway, if it is something out of the ordinary, then apparently it is one of my 'gifts' though what it actually indicates, I don't know.
I also have seen ghosts and have sensed them, too. When I was younger, I knew things before they happened but that has become more subtle as I've grown older, though it still happens. For the first time, I saw my own aura the other day and I've seen the aura around other objects/people, too though to be frank, I've never really tried to develop this ability.

I have the same experience with this and i too would like to improve it. I am always seeing these things and i think at the moment that it is children as they are very small and it seems to be only in my house, but I can't seem to go any further with this. I hope someone has some ideas on seeing these clearer.
I have always had ESP, especially with people I am close to.
I had an ex boyfriend who use to cheat on me alot, and every time he did this i knew it and I just straight out tell him and he used to be blown away by the fact that I knew all about it. I just get an overwhelming sick in the gut feeling of worry and 9 times out of 10 it pertains to someone in trouble or someone do the wrong thing by me (as that turned out) I haven't had it quite as intense for a long time but every now I do get these feelings and it always is from someone close to me.

I feel I am intuitive. But it's very unpredictable. When I was five, I knew my brother was coming home on leave from the Marines, and even told my mom he was on the plane flying overhead. He wasn't due home for six weeks - imagine her surprise when we got home a few hours later, and he was there. And my family felt that if that wasn't his plane landing when we drove by the airport, it was getting ready to land - although to be honest, it kind of creeped everyone out.
Also the day I kept telling my husband we should go see his grandfather - six or seven times - until he got rather irritated with me, and I gave up. His grandfather was not very nice to him, and visiting him was at the bottom of our "fun things to do" list. It really freaked my husband out when we found out later that night that his grandfather had had a stroke that morning, and had been laying on the floor all day.
There have been many other things, times I just *know* something is going to happen, and it does. Not usually anything big, but small stuff, like winning a raffle prize, or that the guy that just walked by my desk is going to try to sneak into the back rooms.
I also sometimes get a deja vu kind of feeling, as though I once dreamed certain events happening right at that moment. It's hard to explain, but sometimes I will think, "I did this in my dream, and the result was bad, so now I will do this instead."
When I get one of my moments, there is no question in my mind about it, either. It's not like a daydream, or anything else I can really explain.

Another empath here (big surprise), I can also talk with astral entities. As well as sense when they are near, and if they be hostile or friendly. I can sometimes see spirits. I see it more clearly than out of the corner of my eye. I can see the outline of them but not very clear details of them. I can however see the details in my minds eye so I "know" what they look like even if I cant fully "see" them. Ive had the street lamp thingy happen too. I was in the car with a friend and he was hey look that lamp is flickering, and that one, and that one, and that one.

i am able to intuit feelings and even some life story of some ppl. i especially "read" my clients when i was working as a counselor. it was nearly impossible not to do b/c the ability comes so naturally. unfortunately, the gift doesn't work on ppl i know well like my husband or mother. i find body movements, clothing, and even tone of voice very revealing. despite the fact i could read so much about a person's feelings and life, i still couldn't tell if someone was lying to me. sometimes i can see auras.
there are a few ppl that i know hours in advance that i will get a call from them or see them that day. almost never fails. the trick is to know the diff b/t willing to speak to someone and just letting the info come like a submerged ball coming to the top. i have been lucky so far that the few times i went somewhere and came across a stranger who might do me harm, i knew ahead of time my danger and changed what i was doing. i've even had security guards walk me to the car when i noticed someone doubtful watching me. it's happened often enough that i feel that it's not paranoia but a genuine knowing.
i can sense and hear spirits. that can get pretty strange sometimes. the first time i heard a spirit was when i was 11. it was my newly deceased grandfather walking thru the house in the same way i knew so well. the stories here could go on a while so i'll stop here.
the main problem is just relax and let things come to me. that's easier said that done. tensing up does not help at all.
i do have occasional dreams where i'm pretty certain i'm meeting w/ spirit guides. i'll remember myself saying,"oh! please! let me remember that when i wake up! it'll make life so much easier for me!" they rarely let me remember to my frustration!! it's kind of like okay, one day when i'm on the other side, i'll look back on that and laugh! ;)

i also have that street lamp thing going. really annoying. at times they'd just flicher then die, at other times, the one which doesn't work lights up. also, when i was a child, i was sensitive to spirits and elementals. i saw dark furry hands creeping from the crevices in our ceiling, the ghost that used to haunt the area near our house, heard various entities call to me, etc. also, during this time, when most kids were creating imaginary friends, i made imaginary monsters. one time, i was playing around with it, and imagined it was lifting a portion of my blanket. to my surprise, my blanket indeed rose slowly as if it were being lifted by the thumb and index finger of an unseen hand. not being used to such physical manifestations, i hid under my pillow. when i looked back after a while, the blanket remained erect. i decided to sleep, in fear. many years later, i would find out that in tibet, they actually do practice the creation of temporary spirit-thoughforms. now though, the ability does not manifest itself that much. perhaps only in the occasional streetlamps. also i do not know how to term this ability, so i'll coin "wishcraft". really, i don't kow how, but i seem to affect fate when i really wish for something, especially if i'm tense or desperate. almost never fails. :) but, i cannot bring this to affect reality, when i know that there are other means to achieve the particular ends i want. with regards to perception, i am a very poor telepath, only now and then getting vague impressions from people around me. i also, sometimes get vague dreams which convey messages i cannot decipher. only later on would i know the relevance of these dreams. with regard to the more magical, less innate abilities, i have been able to affect change (negative, though as i was immature then) on people. :)

This is the same with me; if they aren't going out, they light up. It happens a lot and this is the reason that my husband says he believes it has something to do with me. He says it hardly ever happens to him when I'm not with him but when I am there, blinko!
For everyone that this happens to, are you convinced that it is something you are doing? Or do you still consider the possibility of coincidence? I still wrestle with this. It only happens when I am deep in thought about something (usually all the time! lol) and after it happens I'll try to see if I can make it happen again & can't.
*Another thing I wanted to say is that even if it is something we're doing, I'm not sure that it indicates psychic ability rather than some kind of electrical field disturbance.

anyway, i'll see if i can find it, but there were a whole bunch of people who commented about this, and watches, cd players. if i have good energy, i can make the traffic lights all green for a long ways, and some days they are all red for me. grrrrrr.
i do seem to affect cd players and watches, but no street lamps that i have noticed.

My spirit gift is dreams. I have dreams about events that usually happen. When I was little I used to "know" about events that took place before I was born. My family used to say I overheard someone talking about it, but I think I just knew.
Anyway, I also have the gift of dream interpretation and emphathic abilities. I like my dreaming abilities, but hate the empathic stuff. Being empathic is difficult, because of the amount of emotions that people put out with out even realizing it. Yule time is particulary draining, so forget about shopping for the holidays. . . but I digress. :)
I was also told years ago that I would gain the ability to heal, and some times if I lay my hands on someone and say a blessing over them, I feel my hands warm and tingle. The person I am touching usually says within a few minutes they feel much better. Which makes me great at giving massages. lol
And, I don't have the street light thing, but I don't wear watches because I usually short them out. The same with other electronics.

Gosh reading all these things has reminded me of things that have happened to me.
As a young child I always had people in the room at night - I was so scared I would put the blankets over my head - it is only in the last few years that I have been comfortable with these spirits.
I have often know things like when I was going to win a raffle or when my 2 children had job interviews which job they would get. I also know when people are lying.
I quite often get the phone one correct usually when it is someone I know
Sensing when someone is going to die has happened twice to me and on another occasion when an accident happened to people I knew. In the last 5 years I have started to see spirit a lot - around people or in church at a funeral. Sometimes when out in shopping malls if I am sitting I will be looking at someone in the distance and see spirits with them. I can also hear voices and also sense when spirit are around - also I can smell perfume or cigarettes etc.
At a mediumship night recently - when I entered the room I could see dozens of spirits walking from one side of the room to the other and when they reached the other side they seemed to go up to the ceiling. Later when it was my turn to give a message I brought in a man who was killed in a plane crash ( he was known to the teacher - he was on an Air New Zealand plane that crashed on a day visit to Antartica in 1979 all 264 people were killed) it wasn't till after I had given the message that I realised that what I had seen was the passengers all boarding the plane.
I have had a visitation from something that came in like ectoplasm and formed into a person who looked like the madonna - a teacher has told me that it was probably a master. I was too astounded to try to communicate.
When I was a really young child I saw a photo once of a Indian Yogi and I knew that one day I would be doing that even though I had no idea what it was.
Also I have animal spirits who visit a lot - sometimes walking up and down the bed at night.
I get started on this and I can't stop it makes me remember so many things. I think I might be running out of page.

I too am an empath. I can sense a person's emotions right away and hate being around negative people as it seems to bog me down.
I often know things especially in my circle of friends and friends and family that will happen to them before they happen. My mother is this way too and we have both talked in detail about certain friends of mine and what we saw and then it happened.
I guess I come from a long line of psychics on my mother's side of the family. My mom and I were both born on the 13th of a month too.
I am very telepathic with those I am close too also. I have thought of a certain place, restaurant, occasion then had my husband or whoever call and mention the same place. It's weird but happens all the time.
I have very prophetic dreams. I often visit my grandmother who has passed on in them and she talks to me about everything. She lets me ask her questions. I also have very strange indepth dreams, of places, people, etc. that I have never seen before in my life. They are soo real and very detailed.
I have seen a ghost before. When I was 18 I saw one floating above the end of my bed. It looked like an apparition and was black and white and like I could walk thru it. He was dressed in a suit and looked about from the period of the 20's. He winked at me. I was so scared, I pulled the cover over my head and prayed from him to go away. He finally did. I've sensed when someone is over my shoulder or felt a presence in my room even though I've seen noone too.
I've also heard voices. I haven't for a long time but it happened all the time after I was first married. I would hear whispering and it would freak me out.
I like hearing about everyone elses abilities. This is a neat thread.

I do the street light thing too, but it depends on what I'm feeling, whether they go off, or on. And I asked an electrician about this, to see if he had an explanation, or would instead, reccomend a psychiatrist. He told me there are sensors in the lamps. It's a cost effective energy saving feature, so the lamps come on at nightfall, and go out at daybreak. But he told me that magnetic storms affect them, (solar flare activity, etc..) and that people with strong personal fields do too. I also aparently have some other abilities as well. Mainly to do with energy transmission, but also a lot of manifestation, spirit world interaction, empathic stuff, and just a general "Knowing what's up". I guess I have the psychometry thing going on too. I pick up impressions from places or items. I also had a cheating ex, who actually tried to BS me about it. I could tell if he'd had someone else in his car, even though there was no physical evidence. (he made sure of that.) And I could get the impression of the someone else, whoever she was, off of him. It seemed like I could read his thoughts.
I do that with other people too. I pick up stuff right out of their head, althought I don't try to do it. I simply can't help it. It just is something that happens to me. This can be extremely disturbing. It's a double edged sword. I get into trouble if I negate the impressions that I pick up. (This only seems to happen with guys I want to date, however. Unfortunately all better judgement flies out the window if I want to get with someone...)
It's funny, If I concentrate on the empathic, or telepath stuff, I get static, and it doesn't happen. If I concentrate on energy generation, I get more than I bargained for. If I concentrate on psychometry, I pick up stronger impressions. And as far as manifestation, If I just really need it to happen badly enough, it will happen. If I put some Oomph into it, there are more, and longer lasting results.
I was just born this way I guess, and as I learn and develop, it keeps on coming out. There may be even more, but I haven't discovered it yet.

Well, let's see....I'm able to access the Akashic Records that's helpful with past life issues, as well as future type things...
I'm in the "empath club" too.....lol...I have to be careful to clear certain items before I touch them for physical and emotional pain...was in a dentist office recently and didn't clear the chair before I touched it...thougt I'd be sick :-(
I've seen spirits off and on since I was a little girl, and have been pretty successful with channeling so far. --I usually hear them, or they show me a picture. This happens a lot in Reiki session work, but very often in meditation too....
Yeah, the empath part is probably my strong point. I can easily connect to people even at a very far distance, and when I send energy or an attunement I can feel what is happening in their body or where the energy is going to in their body. ---Really great for finding blocked chakras...
I got away from tarot for awhile while I concentrated on other energy work, but sometimes my guides communicate with me by showing me a tarot card, so I knew it was time to get back!

The weirdest thing was when I was sitting near to a coke machine ah the cafeteria (no one else was in the room) and wanted one very very badly but had left my wallet at my desk and didnt feel like going back...When I heard a sound coming from it, I approach it and realized a coke had fallen...

Well, this is pretty weird, but here's how I tuned in to my psychic abilities for the first time.
It was 1969 (I'm pretty sure) and I was hearing Beatles tunes featuring Paul McCartney every waking minute. Not just the radio's hits either, but all kinds of Beatles tunes, but only the ones P.M. wrote or sang. It was getting nigh unbearable at one point and right about then, he released Ram.
Yes, friends, I could predict album releases! It happened for a long, long time and was for a while the best pick-up mechanism at bars and clubs I ever had. Still happens now and then, but I guess I'm just not tuned to the music scene the way I used to be.
Still psychic, though.

hMy psychic events come and go, and aren't very dramatic except for one time when I was still working at public relations.
I had put together a press conference for the Japanese Ambassador who was visitng our city as the guest of an organization which was a client of mine.
Having such an international figure here was a major deal in this small West Coast town. There had been a couple of days of meetings, with the governor, mayor, other political luminaries in attendance. (Any one of whom could have destroyed my professional reputation -- and my ability to stay employed -- if they were displeased with my handling of the event.)
There was a festive luncheon at the local Hilton. My press conference was to take place in a big, second floor meeting room right after lunch. I had been in the room, working with a bell boy who helped me get the chairs, tables, speaker's podium set up just the way I wanted them.
I went down to have some of the festive lunch, and enjoyed the ceremonies. Suddenly I felt really anxious, antsy, stressed. Something was telling me to go back up to the press conference room. I pooh-poohed my instincts for a few minutes, but the feelings intensified.
Finally I gave in, and arrived on the second floor just in time to see another bell boy going down the hall pushing a hand truck full of folding chairs, tables, a speaker's podium. I yelled at him, and got him to bring the stuff back. He called a couple of helpers, and we got the room put back together just as the elevator doors opened. The governor, the mayor and the ambassador stepped into the hall. A second elevator disgorged most of the local press corps. I greeted them graciously, and escorted the dignitaries to their places, then got the reporters all fixed up.
After it was over I made my way into the hotel's darkest bar and ordered a good, stiff martini. Stirred, not shaken.

some strange happens to me (no, not the street lights, though ;) I can sense people, like once there was a friend of my parents that I just couldn't stand, I just felt unconfortable around him (and he was a very funny guy, always laughing)... it turned out he wasn't that much of a friend.
And another thing i got is dreams; once I dreamt with a man standing right next to my be, all dressed with a suit. It was just 2 or 3 seconds but it was really creepy.... i slept with my back against the wall fir the next days :)
I would like to have my "psychic habilities" improved, but i don't know how...

I don't usually share this so this is a first for me being so open to so many people.....
If I hold a person's hand or item of personal value I can read a lot about that person and the people close to them. The cards sometimes help me to hone in on this, sometimes not.
I receive very clear images...like a short still from a movie..or sometimes a word...
It makes me uncomfortable...I usually just rattle off whatever comes to mind without thought of consequence.
When I first noticed I could do this I did it regularly, now that I have "matured" I don't talk about it much to anyone. However if I see a person in trouble or in need of guidance I like to take their hand....sometimes I am even compelled to do this when I see a homeless person on the street who may be crying or look frightened....to be honest....well it makes me feel quite out of place and desperately lonely sometimes....

do you what happend with me today? i have a friend whose mother has cancer and is very ill. today i woke up and got dressed, and dressed all in black... 3 hours later i receive a phone call saying my friend's mother has died. i didn't even noticed my clothes, until my sister asked me: "you already knew that, didn't you?" and i said "no, why?" "because you are wearing black today..." it was really creepy.

my husband and i sometimes have moments we seem to read each other's mind. recently, we had a pretty odd experience. i was waiting for him to get home from work one night. i got a hankering for some microwave popcorn so i put a bag in the microwave to pop. i came back into the living room and my husband came in the door. i asked if he wanted anything to eat or drink. he said,"yeah, i'd like some popcorn." i was stunned at second and then said,"i just put some in the microwave." he didn't believe me at first but the popping corn was solid evidence!

Mystic Moonlight, those of us with special abilities can feel very lonely in a world where people look askance at anyone out of the ordinary. My suspicion is that there are many more people with these talents, but are loathe to discuss them, and many more who have them and repress or deny them.
In a similar, but a little different vein, some friends and I were meeting once a month to study spiritual and occult matters. We discovered that if we were to hold anything owned by another person, we'd get mental pictures of that person's life.
For instance I held one woman's earring and saw children playing on the beach. She had gotten it when she was a teenager and stayed the summer at a beach home her father had bought. She held a ring I had bought in London, and saw visions of Robin Hood kind of characters. It was a lot of fun. And since we could all do it, further convinced me that most people really do have these kinds of talents.
