Need Herbal Information

Greetings everyone.

I'm rather new to this site, and I was wondering if anyone can help me. I am a neophyte wiccan who has joined her local pagan alliance group. I have homework this week, and I have no idea where to do the proper research.

The group leader gave us all a list of herbs, and we are all supposed to look up each herb's magical uses, healing properties, and any dangers/hazards associated with it--like if it's poison, endangered, etc...

I know Cunningham puts out an excellent guide, but I can't afford one right now. Are there any websites that contain this information?
