View Full Version : How to work "quote" feature?
I feel like an idiot, but 500+ posts later, and I still can't figure out how to use the quote thingy. Can you give it step-by-step? I'm completely boggled on this.
Hopefully,
Magpie9
I just sent you a pm with directions, since I can't put them in the post or they won't be there...try it!

Like this. Instead of hitting the Post Reply button to reply, hit the Quote button at the lower right corner of the post you want to quote. Then reply as normal.

This should do it, then?

Just go to the bottom of the screen and click "Vb code"--it tells you how to change all your fonts, colors, quotes, tabs, lists, etc.

There is also, besides the "submit" button, a "preview post" function ;) So if you want to know what your post looks like before submitting, have a look at it, change maybe stuff and then when you are sure it is ok, submit ;)

I don't think I have this right yet, I want aportion of a post and I seem to get the whole lot-What am I doing wrong?
I highlighted the first three words of the above original post- and I get the whole post in the frame. How do you get a portion of the post? Any help would be great. ~Rosanne
Rosanne :)
when you hit the quote button, the text appears between
and
codes. You delete the text (without touching the codes) you do notwant and just keep what you need...
:D
have fun ;)
Rosanne :)

OK Sunshine I have tried it...Thanks ~Rosanne :D
and it worked too :D
you're welcome! :D:D cool...
The one thing to watch for: don't touch the codes. It is easy to do that when editing a quote. Preview your message if you think you did that.
