hi i wonder if you could help me, im thinking of starting my own business with tarot and psychic readings. but need a name and details of what im about. my name is diane, but like being called dee. would like something catchy, any ideas are more than welcome. would like to get on the first rung of the ladder to help others.

What you want to do is define your target market (and I mean REALLY define them) and then decide what it is they want.

Let's say you want to position your self as the person to go to for business questions. You become an Intuitive Marketing Consultant (as a local reader and TV personality Judith Conrad did). As an Intuitive Marketing Consultant she focused on people seeking to organize themselves and become goal oriented, she wore creatively styled business dress and was never without a large planner. In this way I imagine she was able to stay clear of the "is my husband cheating on me" questions, charged more for her services and got a more stable clientele base.

One way to begin to define your business is to figure out what else you offer. You could be tarot and alternative medicine, tarot and financial planning, tarot and past life regression, tarot and spiritual guidance, etc.

I wouldn't do anything fancy schmancy or cutesy. Just Dee (your last name) and then under it Tarot Reader and your phone number. Simple, classy, to-the-point and very businesslike. Adding all those other things starts making you sound like one of the scam artist types. (In my opinion.)

I just couldn´t agree more with Grizabella.
If I ever pay for a tarot reading it will definitelly be to someone who is not talking of kitties, eternal light and hidden wisdom in her ad.
