Can someone please explaing how we can use one word to show a hyperlink to a whole thread?

Step 1:
Determine the thread ID # for the thread that you want to link to. One way to do this is go to or open that thread, and look at the number at the end of the address line. In the following example, the thread ID# is 19364

http://www.tarotforum.net/showthread.php?t=19364

Step 2:
To create a one word hyperlink to that thread in a message, first type:

[ thread=19364 ] -- but do NOT put spaces after or before the square brackets

Then directly after the closing bracket, type the word that you want to turn into a hyperlink, like: Here

Then directly after that word, type:

[ /thread ] -- again, do NOT put spaces after or before the square brackets

So it will look something like this:

[ thread=19364]Here[/thread] -- without the space after the bracket

So click Here to go to the thread on what decks are in our collections.

To see info on all the codes you can use in a message, click the vb Code link in the Posting Rules box at the far bottom left of the message screens.

Hope this helps more than confuses!

Thanks Strange2 :)

I have managed to do this in this post as well as learn something new about referring to Aeclectic threads.
