Is crying connected to Moon, since it controls water movement and joy connected to Sun? Would these 2 emotional responses depend on the amount of Moon and Sun energy at the moment in one's chart?

Hm, I think the situation may be a little more complex than that. For example, if your moon is well placed, it may very well be associated w/more joyful feelings. And if your sun is poorly placed, it may coincide w/tears. Transiting Saturn opposing natal sun? Joy isn't exactly the word that comes to mind
