Sabian Symbols: Draws (Other than daily or weekly)

I haven't tried the Sabian Symbols in a little while now. I've been feeling kind of lost and hopeless, just existing for the sake of existing...you know? So I thought maybe I could get some answers about what might be going on with me...and here's the draw I made:

Taurus 12: Window-Shoppers. Keyword: Visualization.
A YOUNG COUPLE WALK DOWN MAIN-STREET, WINDOW-SHOPPING.

I also asked for a clarification about the above draw and here's what I received:

Libra 26: An eagle and a large white dove turning one into the other. Keyword: Adeptness.
AN EAGLE AND A LARGE WHITE DOVE TURNING CONSTANTLY INTO EACH OTHER.

I guess what I gather from this is...the young couple...I thought of young as "new", instead of youthful. A new couple, or even a new situation or relationship that is in that "maybe/maybe not" stage...hence, the window-shopping analogy. You don't know what you want, so you just "browse" around and make no commitments to anything. It has that air of "let's see what strikes our fancy, if anything" feel. Reminds me of exactly how I feel right now with circumstances with my ex....to be or not to be. And the eagle and the dove...I thought, war and peace, respectively. Alternating between wanting to attack/battle/fight and wanting to embrace/have peace. Being torn between "the hunt" (eagle) and "peace" (the dove)...and the keyword "adeptness" or "skillful" makes me think of two things: either, a) I have the skill it takes to do the right thing, but I just don't know how to do so yet, being torn between the hunter or the peace-maker. Or, b) I feel I lack the skill to proceed in the direction I need to go...hence, the eagle and dove turning into one another--not knowing what to do.

Finally, I asked for guidance: what shall I do in this time of confusion? Here was the draw:

Virgo 30: A false call unheard in attention to immediate service. Keyword: Safeguard.
HAVING AN URGENT TASK TO COMPLETE, A MAN DOESN'T LOOK TO ANY DISTRACTIONS.

Hmmm, this is tricky. False call. At first, I thought a "phone call". Then I thought, false information from someone or somewhere. I think this is saying, don't pay attention to false information. There's something more immediate that needs my attention. Safeguard: be careful, step lightly. "Having an urgent task to complete..."...I have to finish things one way or another and not allow myself to be distracted by external influences. Don't listen to others; listen to myself. Don't let anyone influence me. I know the right way, or I'll choose it, if I stay tuned into myself. Virgo 30...hey, that's right around the corner!! I wonder if something will happen on August 30th -OR- when Virgo is at a 30 degree angle? And how would I find out when that might be?

and thank you for sharing it, I pray your situation LIGHTENS UP soon,
but I feel the symbols have sort of shown you the way, you may have been taking your time (window shopping) about your next step, you keep changing your mind (eagle and dove) but you have something urgent to attend to - probably your life, your own career and self love? just ideas that are flowing...

where the sabian symbols for the SUN and MOON are listed easy to see every moment of every day.. (scroll down the page about half way its on the side) BUT at the TOP of the page is the sun and moon degree, so if you have a book or access to Lynda HIlls site you can look up the symbols too... the sun roughly moves through each symbol once a day.. so you can see it will be at Virgo 30 about the 23rd of September??

Marina...you think I did a good job on reading the symbols? Really? I was sorta taking a shot in the dark and going by what I "guessed" but wow, that's cool if I was right!

I'll look at that site, thank you! As for Sept. 23rd (for Sabian Symbol Virgo 30)...yeah, that's around the corner. I wonder what's that about...something to worry about or to be excited about? Hmmmmm.....where's the thing you pointed halfway down the page? I don't think I see it...

So I went to the site you recommended and clicked on the "Sabian Oracle" link, asked what may happen on or around Sept. 23rd for me, and here's the response I got:

What does that part mean at the end: "If negative..." if what is negative??

I think you sorted your reading out really well too :) and explained it clearly. Its good to see how someone else interprets the Symbols for themselves, but the way you described them illustrated the situation. It can 'see' it - so to speak.

I think the caution for the other Symbol is saying that 'yeah, you could do it the easy way - but you will only reap what you sew. If you use your creative talents and thoughts you can successfully bridge any obstacles. The end result will be worth it. I think this relates to expressing or communicating clearly. Doing things your own individual way instead of possibly copying others. Being inspired so as to inspire others - Wearing colourful clothing or accessories - or gold.

Negative to me isn't 'negative' so to speak. I feel that in regard to the Symbols the 'negative' is like an air bag - if you are bump into any of the negative traits and realize it, then you've got a good chance of backing away from it - a safety precaution. The 'negatives' are a great indicator. Where as if run into the 'negative' too hard - then like an airbag - it sort of goes off in your face - or its really obvious because its 'in your face', and you cant see past it. 'Negative's' or 'Cautions', help you stay on track and focussed.

GoddessArtemis Id be looking for rainbows in your life for the 23rd, a cafe a movie a place that sells crystals you know just be around rainbows in a physical way.. so healing.. it just sounds like a lovely light happy time (for a change)

Oh the astrology weekly site, there is a small column just off centre to the right and it has the sabian symbols for the moment.. have another look you may find it... I find it helps if 'something' has happened and I am LOOKING for a sign, I look there and sometimes the symbol for that moment really speaks to me...

I wanted to address a point from my earlier 'draws' about the eagle and the dove sabian symbols.

I was doing some research for my work and came across an article about the idea of people as "hawks" (or eagles) and "doves" and they explain in terms of "dominant" or "strong" versus "submissive" or "weak". In light of that, when the sabian symbols suggest that "an eagle and a large white dove turning one into the other"...now it seems to mean, that either me or my significant other--or both--switch between being dominant/strong or submissive/weak towards one another or the situation. In both cases, I'd say it's very true...

My ex significant other is going through a serious depressive state--so it seems, and so she says. And while normally she tries to be "dominating" or "strong" or pushy with me...she's quite in the submissive mode now. Having had to push back to maintain my own personal boundaries and not wanting to be taken over by her in the past (because she's pushy), I now find myself in a state of confusion...I'm a strong person but I've had to go back and forth with her because of her personality type. Now that she's depressed/submissive (the dove), I'm not sure how long I'm supposed to be the strong/dominant one (the eagle/hawk)..because being too strong can also push a depressed person--such as my ex--to the other end of the spectrum...meaning, away from me.

I guess that's why I'm experiencing so much confusion in regards to this, and why I turned to the Sabian Symbols for some guidance!

I just wanted to share that piece of info. It seemed weird to come across the nearly SAME symbol in my work (of all place), but there it is!

That is amazing insight there GA, Im glad you shared that with the eagle and the dove, It fits perfectly into the reading..

maybe you could both try and be a different bird or be the bird true to your own nature.. then you may both fly off in different directions or you may actually find out you are the same bird type and no longer need to be dominant or submissive but equal... and fly together...

As for me and my ex-bird....I dunno. I can only be who I am and she will be who she is. I tried to be who she wanted me to be--less impulsive, less passionate, less assertive--and it back-fired. Not only did it not make the relationship better, but it made me feel bad about things, too.

So now...I'm thinking I'll lay low. I'm just going to give this a week, do nothing, and see what happens.

Another thing just struck me about that symbol and what you just wrote,
in Australia we call females 'birds' - slang, chicks and birds so that symbol could mean 2 females in a relationship (a good one or a bad one) but intereacting with eachother? just a thought

So, I'm wondering what the nature spirit has to do with it. This person is a Pisces and "Waterfall" is water. The Nature Spirit is something fun and lightness-inducing. Have fun! Go out and play! And I'm very much into Angels.

GA - I simply mean I thought that the symbol could mean 2 women...
woman A and woman B... 2 'birds' thats how simple I saw it after re-reading all the comments on it, symbols had never struck that simply before to me..
I wanted to add that birds are similar to Angels, so GA do you have an angel who you feel close to?

I too love the beads, I feel VERY special when I use them, magical and shiney if you know what I mean - cool and happy.. they dont hold any nagativity either.. yes just love them! And my son can even do a reading for me too!!

Lovely symbol you pulled out - one of my favourites I think.. I feel it is about FAIRIES and ANGELS - the FUN HAPPY TIMES! The key work is restlessness.. so spontaeity and quick action intuition and feelings all happen here, I also usually feel pregnancy or the birth of NEW things with this symbol, could be all that water ;) a very emotional symbol, but refreshing in a new way..
