I don't think tarot decks are priced ridiculously, really, but you might try

or

or even try for some on ebay. It's true that they cost more than decks of playing cards, especially if you buy the deck and book sets, but to me they're worth the investment. I can't afford to buy all I'd like to, but it's best to take your time and learn a deck anyway, so it all works out.
I've seen your posts in other areas, and I see that you're new to the cards. Just take the time to learn with the deck you have and try to get fluent with that one. As time goes on, other decks will come along and you'll be able to afford them later on. It pays to give it time so you can learn more about tarot because that gives you a better basis for knowing which decks you're going to connect with the most. Those are the ones you'll actually be able to read with the best and it prevents getting several you never connect with and wish you hadn't spent the money on.
Good luck with your studies.
You've certainly come to the right place to learn. The search feature here is a great resource and so is just browsing all the old posts for information. If you need help with the search feature, we'll be glad to answer your questions about that, too.
I look forward to getting to know you and seeing you grow as a reader. Your enthusiasm will take you far.
