Ohmigod I just talked myself into a job!

Well I've been dropping into my local MBS shop a few times lately, had a couple of readings which were pretty good...last week I took some copies of my oracle deck, the Universe Cards to see if they fancied stocking them. And hey, they did!

This week I dropped in again, and asked if they had any spaces for readers...expecting a long line of excuses...full up, waiting list blah blah...
But no. I was offered an afternoon a week, starting next Thurs, doing readings with the Universe Cards.

Spent many a happy hour reading the Tarot Cafe and other threads on this forum and thought...ahhh...how nice that would be. And now...I am actually going to do it....sh*t!! This is my first time doing readings for money....what the hell have I got myself into???!!!

Oh yeah a fellow lioness is showing her pride I'm so happy for you! Hey does anyone know of any shops near the Covent Garden area? I go there quite a bit and would love a new place to pop into for decks and such. Congrats again and have fun

Haven't been on a trawl round the Covent Garden area for years, but Mysteries ("Mysteries specialise in a range of New Age literature. They also provide a Tarot reading service on the premises.") still seems to be on Monmouth Street, at the Shaftesbury Avenue end, right by the original Neal's Yard from memory. Apparently there's also the Astrology Shop ("The Astrology Shop specialises in antique astrological equipment") actually in Neal Street and Wonders ("Wonders is a New Age shop that sells a variety of items including tarot cards, Feng Shui products and ornaments. They also sell a selection of CD's and tapes") right in the market itself (The Market At Covent Garden, 31 The Piazza, London). Hope that helps!

Sunshineluvr - In addition to Scorpion's recommendations, you might try Watkins bookshop, which is just off Leicester Square. They sell decks and I think they also do readings.

Alternatively, if you're in the Greenwich area on a Thursday afternoon, come along and have a Universe Cards reading...

There's a fabulous reader named Rob who was at Watkins when I was there 2 years ago. I also took several classes with him and 3 other Londoners in tarot. Would love to know if he's still there!
