The First Price

MareSaturni

How much should you ask for when you are just a 'beginner'? Not in tarot, of course, but in the whole professional tarot buisiness?

How much you consider an acceptable price to be charged by someone who still doesn't have a 'name'?

Just want to have an idea :)

Thanks

I think the best thing for you to do would be to find out how much the going rate is in your area. Then if you feel comfortable maybe charge say 10% less of that. That is what I've done.

There is no price you should be charging. Charge what you feel comfortable with.
That's why I love working from shops where they decide the price!!

Where will you be working from:

home, markets, fairs, shops?

That might help make the decision easier.

$1/min usually works well, especially when you think that people calling those services spend $3-$4/min. I've done a $30/half hour or $50/hr deal.

$10 for 15 minutes or $20 a half hour is generally accepted as reasonable.

Find out what the going rate is in your community. Here in Denver, I was told by a fellow reader that it is $1 a minute and to go under was seen as undercutting. To go over was just foolish. I took her advice! ;-)
