I've always had a lot of "jumpers" when I read -- cards that leap out of the deck as a signal that the shuffling's over with and the deck is ready. But lately, a lot of those leapers have landed crosswise instead of perpendicular to me, so I was having trouble figuring out how to read them. And then, this spread just occurred to me:
******4*********1***********3
****************2
Card #1 is the "leaper" that came out sideways instead of up-and-down; it represents the situation that crosses you right now.
Card #2 lays on top of #1, and represents your attitude towards the situation. (So, instead of a typical cover-and-cross where the up-and-down card is on the bottom, here it's on the top.)
Card #3 represents what you've been doing to get where you are in this situation.
Card #4 is the change or action you ought to consider to achieve your goals in this instance.
This spread is great for pinpoint readings regarding stuff that's blocking you, or just crud that's been hanging around too long that you haven't really done anything about but need to. It's kind of a "sick and tired of being sick and tired" spread, when it's time to surrender whatever it is that's sticking in your craw and do the next right thing -- but you're having trouble figuring out exactly what the next right thing is!
Let me know your thoughts!
