Ok, I named it the problem-solving spread, but it's a bit clumsy, so if anyone has a better idea, don't be shy! :D

1: Nature of the problem
2: Attitude (can reflect in outer circumstances) in the past
3: Past actions
2 and 3 lead up to the current problem.
4: Current attitude that is preserving the status quo
5: Current actions that preserve the status quo
6: Secondary gains from staying in the situation
7: Further problems/difficulties that this situation causes
8: Necessary changes in attitude (aka "Inner Changes")
9: Necessary action ("Outer Changes")
10: Outside help/resources
11: Timing card (see the thread I started in this forum about timing) *)
12: Outcome

This spread looks like the rune Othila so maybe you could call it the Othila Spread. The Othila rune is about home and inheritance so I’m not sure that would fit with your intentions. (I have to admit that I really like the name Space Invaders Spread! He, he, he.)
I noticed that cards 6 and 7 seem to be reversed to me. All the other pairs have the even number on the left and the odd number on the right. The number 2 is on the left and 3 is on the right. The number 4 is on the left and 5 is on the right. Then 6 and 7 are the opposite but 8 & 10 are again on the left and 9 & 11 on the right. Is there any significance to numbers 6 & 7 being reversed?
I really like this spread. Thanks for sharing!

ROFL!!! :D :D :D Geenius, what have you done! Now it will ALWAYS be known as the Space Invaders Spread! Nobody's going to take it seriously anymore... LOL
Raeanne: My thought was that the left column (cards 2, 4, 7, 8 and 10) is more "passive", the right one more "active" and I tend to see gains as something you anjoy passively, whereas problems tend to stir you into action. But if it irritates you, by all means change it! The spread's still in its developmental phase and open to improvements.
And Othila can mean "sanctuary" - since the spread offers you a solution to a pressing problem, maybe it's like seeking refuge in a sanctuary???

This looks like a veeeeeeeeery cool spread, Tigerlily -- I can't wait to try it out!

Question, though: do cards 2 and 4, and 3 and 5, cover-and-cross, or is that merely my imagination?

Space invader or not, I jumped the second I saw it - I loved the shape of it before I'd even read the positions! And when I did, they did NOT lessen my impression! I will definitely try this one out, I think it will work great! (And the fact is this is the kind of spread I was looking for not too long ago! Will safe it in my files, definitely!)

PS: I don't know either how to make nice links, but when I link to a different thread I just look it up (with the search function for example) and cut and past the link in the address-field at the top of the screen. It's not pretty but it works...! :D

I appreciate your creative efforts tigerlily and also the fact that you share them with us...

hey tigerlily thnx for the spread..i just tried it n the results seem to satisfy...even though the name is a little dull i think its best to call the spread the problem solving spread since it does help in solving problems....gud job!!!
