Astrology and Symbolon

I was just wondering if any of you, here at AT, like Paradoxx who is obviously deep into Astrology, are familiar with the Symbolon deck, and would be willing to afford us Astrology neophytes some insights into the astrological dimmensions of, and correlations with this fascinating deck?

Your knowledge and ideas would be very much appreciated.

Specifics of Symbolon Astrology

This post tries to clarify some of the specifics of Symbolon Astrology.

1. Multiple Personalities

* Multiple internal personalities perform a kind of theater play according to a script (horoscope). Getting to know your script is the purpose of Symbolon Astrology.
* Symbolon defines rules about these internal personalities and the level they operate on (different levels of consciousness)
* Symbolon defines 12 archtypes, corresponding to the twelve signs of the zodiac and twelve houses
* Aspects are also considered to be "persons" interacting with archetypes, according to the following correspondence:

square = saturn
opposition = moon
conjunction = sun
sextile = venus
trigon = jupiter
mirrorpoint = pluto

2. The Symbolon Deck

The Symbolon deck is a pictorial representation of the twelve archetypes and their relationships, all depicted as persons. Their content is based on hundreds of therapeutic sessions with patients and draws from fairy tales, mythology, religion and common archetypes.

It can be used to clarify astrological constellations, but they developed a set of spreads to be used seperately from astrology. Ingrid Zinnel even defined meanings for them as "card of the day", with self-empowering statements.

3. Analysis based on Thesis, Antithesis and Synthesis

Antithesis/Being/Foundation/Problem

• Asc in Sign
• Ruler Asc in Sign and House
• Aspects on Ruler Asc, including sign and house of aspecting planet

Thesis/Action Plan/Doing/Way through problem

• Sun In Sign (How) and House (Where)
• Aspects on Sun, including sign and house of aspecting planet

Synthesis/Goal/Mission/Outcome

• MC in Sign
• Ruler MC in Sign and House
• Aspects on Ruler MC, including sign and house of aspecting planet

4. Personar

A Personar is a special variant of a Solar.

Each internal personality gets its own "horoscope", based on the date/time the sun reaches the corresponding planet in the natal chart.

There is a hierarchy of Personar importance

1) Ruler Asc Personar
2) Moon Personar
3) Slow mover Personars gain importance after "midlife crisis"

5. Wolfgang Döbereiner

Symbolon uses the 7-year cycle to determine when a specific internal person is activated or shows its influence. This is based on Wolfgang Döbereiner's Munich Rhythm Theory. http://www.rhythmenlehre.de/
It uses house progressions of 7 yrs. per house, starting from the ascendant clockwise from 12th house to 1st house.

6. Bert Hellinger

Symbolon uses the Family-Constellations concept of Bert Hellinger, finding out these family constellations in the horoscope, and defining conflicts and their resolutions out of it. http://www.hellinger.com/international/english/index.shtml

7. Partnerships

Symbolon defines new techniques for analyzing partnerships:

* Defintion of 12 types of Eros (1 for each archetype)
