What does this mean?

I found a used deck at a yard sale that looked really cool -Tarot of the Spirit. I bought it & really like it. However, the lady selling it only had the Majors and the court cards....what do you suppose happened to the other 40 cards? Is there something you can do with just those cards? It's got me thinking now.

For some reason I got distracted then and didn't ask (which I know yeah, it would have been the most simple way to figure it out.)

Ideas? Thoughts?

Sometimes people like to read wth only the majors and the courts , and they separate the suit cards out . Maybe they got thrown out or lost somehow.
